I have natural black east Asian hair that has been bleached blonde so the brassiness tends to lean a bit more orangish and the purple is meant to combat yellowness. That said, I think the Odele Purple Shampoo does help a bit with my brassiness -- it's definitely cools it down for me. Purple shampoos do seem to vary in purpleness and I think Odele's is more a dark purple that doesn't lean towards a blue like some others do. As a shampoo, it lathers up easily but the texture does seem a bit thinner than others that I've used and I think that may be because of their "clean" formula, but I don't think that has affected the effectiveness of the shampoo. Scent-wise, I think it smells a little like clean laundry, but I like that scent. Overall, if you're looking for a clean purple shampoo, I'd say give Odele a try!

The quality of this shampoo is impressive, especially considering the reasonable price. The scent is lovely and stays fragrant. I noticed a positive difference in the texture of my hair after using it for a few times - it feels soft and less frizzy. I will continue to use this product as it has been effective overall.

I love the Odele purple shampoo. It’s a great size for the price. It smells good and makes my hair look great! I use purple shampoo every now and then to refresh my hair. I use it as the first shampoo rinse and then switch to my normal one afterwards.

Lathers up nicely, smells nice, but no real noticable strong fragrence. Rinses out easily without stripping any of my color or leaving behind any residue but does manage to tone down the yellow or brassy blonde hues my hair can get over time. Safe enough for everyday use or just as needed to help ith the brassiness some blondes can get to prpvide a cooler shade. Perfect when followed with the Odele purple conditioner.

My daughter currently has half of her hair a blonde color while my husband has that grey silver hair. Both of them had that grassiness to their hair color that was driving them nuts. Since using this shampoo not only has their hair become soft and manageable but it has enhanced their true color. This really helps restore color while keeping your hair hydrated.

This stuff works wonders. After my hair is bleached it usually has a yellow/orange tone and this stuff helped it tone it down. So smooth and works wonders. I use it twice a week to keep up with the brassiness and it works wonders. I definitely recommend.

By using this Odele purple shampoo, my blonde hair looks so much better. It isn’t as brassy and is more toned down. Not only that, but it feels and looks clean and healthy. It is simple to use. I apply it to my wet hair a few times a week and rinse afterward.

Nice thick shampoo with a wonderful scent. I have blonde money pieces so this helps reduce the brassiness that comes with have light color hair. I use it on my whole head and it feels soft and silky after a wash it also didn’t seem to damage or change the color of my darker hair in a major way which is a huge plus for me.

I really love this shampoo! It was a nice texture , it cleaned my hair in a gentle manner and it reverted my hair back to it's normal curl pattern quite quickly. I have semi-permanent dyes in my hair that are purple and blue and I wasn't sure how it would affect the hues, however, this, mixed with the conditioner really made my color stand out & added some additional volume & bounce to my hair. Plus, there weren't any harsh chemicals involved either!

Received this product two weeks ago and waited to use it a few times before reviewing it. The recommendation is not to use it more than 2-3 times a week. I tried it and felt it was a good product, but not as great as I was hoping. I have black hair naturally but as I am older I do dye my hair of grays especially at the roots. I do not understand what "brassiness" in hair means as I am not blonde so perhaps I am the wrong clientele for the product. On a bright note, the packaging was very sleek and the look and scent of the product were great. My hair did feel clean and shiny so that were also positives.

I recently decided to try Odele Purple Shampoo because my hair is mostly grey. It has a nice scent to it. Not over powering at all. Lathered up nicely and rinsed out good.It left my hair very soft and easy to manage. It also has a nice shine to it. I would highly recommend this shampoo.

This shampoo is great. You can see it since it is literally purple, so you don't pour more into your hand then you really need. It does not take a lot to shampoo even long hair. I have tried it three times now and my hair is very soft to the touch and it seems to have helped it retain some curl. I have combined it with the conditioner as well. I think it may be lightening my hair so I think if you are a blonde it will help keep that light color.

This is a nice shampoo. The fragrance isn’t too strong, it lathered easily and a decent amount of lather. It rinsed easily which is always a plus. It didn’t really help much with the brassiness though, didn’t make it worse though.

This is my first purple shampoo product and I absolutely love it. I love the scent, the thickness of the shampoo. It keeps my hair shines, takes the brassiness of my hair, and moisturizes my hair. Totally recommend.
