chips off within 2 days
I love this brand, and their polishes, and was so excited to try the chrome powder. I did it with gel, and followed the instructions (even watched videos on how to do it) but unfortunately, it chipped off the tips of most nails within 2 days. Definitely do not recommend sadly.

Beautiful but can be messy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kit includes everything needed to apply the chrome to your nails. I did find it difficult and messy to apply with the included brush on top of gel top coat. The glitter got everywhere and I had a hard time using the brush (like a sponge eyeshadow brush) to coat a full layer esp near the edges of my nail. That said once I painted a gel top coat on top it looked really nice and had a nice shimmery silver sheen. It lasted about two weeks before slight chipping.

Very nice product
Love the packaging. Very nice. Application has a bit of a learning curve to get a smooth application but the effect on the nail is a gorgeous look.

Chrome Delivery perfection on Long Lasting Polish
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After taking a necessary break from gel thanks to my already-brittle nails, I've been leaning heavily into the press-on and long-lasting world. Imagine my delight and surprise to learn this chrome is compatible with long-lasting polish! I understand that gel is the preferred delivery mechanism, but given others seem to have struggled with curing their chrome, I'm here to say that this problem is not something I experienced with long lasting polish (because. . . no curing). I've tried this a number of times, and it seems the sweet spot for chrome application seems to be around the 2-3 minute mark in the dry-timer for the last coat of color before topcoat. The chrome looks great on neutrals and brights (I've tested on HZ and Diner Date as faves). I messed around with a few darker shades, too. It doesn't look bad, just not to my personal taste (Patron of the Arts has been my favorite so far). 10/10, would buy again. Would also love O&J to explore other chrome shades: iridescent, pink, blue, etc.

Easiest chrome ever!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this chrome powder! It’s completely mess-free and doesn’t spill like some others I’ve tried. As someone who isn’t great at nail art this is such a fun way to add variety to my manis! Hoping to see it available in more colors soon!

Chrome
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chrome powder comes in very nice packaging and was easier to apply than loose powders I’ve used in the past. I applied it over a white gel, and tested it with both Olive and June gel polish and another brand of gel polish. It performed similarly with both. It looks gorgeous when initially applied but I found it to be a little patchy after the second layer of topcoat is cured. Some areas still have a metallic/chrome appearance while other areas look more like a traditional shimmer. The effect also faded over a few days. Still pretty and shimmery but looks different than the initial application. I’m going to keep experimenting with different colors and techniques but I was slightly disappointed with initial application.

Love the powder, not the applicator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The powder is SO gorgeous -- I wore it layered over two coats of Dream Job gel for a glazed donut effect and it looks amazing and applied well with way less mess than I expected. The applicator is not great though and broke halfway through applying on my second hand, would definitely recommend using a silicone one instead.
