Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray Volume & Texture, Invisible Dry Spray for Voluminous Texture & Hold, 1.9 oz

Warning- not legit Oribe! This is counterfeit product not authorized for sale by target or third party seller here! Actual Oribe is amazing and would be five stars. What I received was not Oribe standard. I could tell something was very off when I tried to use this the first time. There was an overwhelming smell of rubbing alcohol with a fainter Oribe scent underneath. It stung my scalp and made my hair feel gross and matted where I applied it. I’ve used the genuine Oribe Dry Texturing Spray for years, and this was a completely opposite experience from their product. I had to go wash my hair to get it out instead of enjoying the luxurious feeling of actual Oribe. At the very least, benefit of the doubt: perhaps there is an expiration date and this unauthorized seller got their hands on some extremely old stock that has gone bad. But a bottle usually lasts me several years and has always been good all the way to the end. I’ve never smelled any rubbing alcohol or chemo smell with genuine Oribe. I contacted both Target and Oribe and sent Oribe photos and details. I’m frustrated that Target rep simply said they would look into it but is still having me send the item back for full refund. That means this counterfeit item will likely get resold to another unsuspecting person. Unacceptable. Target should be vetting and not selling third party seller items that are unauthorized products restricted by the manufacturer and therefore likely to be fake. This item should be thrown away so no one else buys a counterfeit item. Here is the response I received from Oribe when I inquired: “We are very sorry for your experience. Unfortunately, Target is not an authorized seller of Oribe Hair Care and we cannot stand by the product that you received. We want to assure you that we are actively working to remove all product from these unauthorized channels. I love this texturizing spray! It is a must have in my house. It works great for adding texture along with working as a dry shampoo. You can’t go wrong!
