Description

Philips Avent Glass Natural bottle with the Natural Response nipple lets baby control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipples' unique opening and tip only releases milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm, just like they do when breastfeeding. Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple with a soft feel that mimics the shape and feel of a breast; plus baby controlling the flow of milk like they do when breastfeeding. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy. The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold. Assembly is simple with only a few parts and the wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy. This Natural Philips Avent bottle is made of premium quality borosilicate glass, a BPA free material. It is heat and thermal shock resistant, so it can be safely stored in the fridge, warmed and is easy to wash and sterilize. The Natural response nipples come in flow rates 1-5, to keep up with your baby's growth. We recommend using the Philips Avent Natural baby bottle with Philips Avent Natural bottle nipples. Includes: 1 8oz Glass Natural bottle with Natural Response nipple flow 3. SCY913/01

What to expect when introducing the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple:

-It's totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. Unlike traditional bottles the Natural bottle is designed to only release milk when your baby is actively drinking, like what happens when babies breastfeed.

-We have 5 different nipple flow rates for the Natural bottle. When looking for the right nipple flow rate, age is a guide, but your baby's approach to drinking and the feeding cues they will show will help determine when to move to a higher or lower nipple flow rate.

Q: Are these glass bottles microwave safe, if we would like to warm the milk in the bottle directly?

submitted by DC - 1 year ago
  • A: Hello! The Philips Avent Glass Bottles are microwave safe. However, we do not recommend using a microwave to warm up baby's food or drinks. Microwaves might alter the quality of food/drinks and destroy some valuable nutrients. Microwaves do not heat evenly and they might leave "hot spots" which could scald your baby. When heating up your Philips Avent bottle in the microwave, please only place the container without screw ring, AirFree vent, nipple and cap. Always stir heated content to ensure even heat distribution and check the temperature before serving.

Glass bottles that dont break the bank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving these Avent 8oz glass bottles as part of the Stellar product testing panel, I quickly realized that I had been overspending for other brands of glass or silicone bottles. Being eco-conscious it has always been important me to chose glass or silicone and these bottles are simply the best. They are quick to warm up, easy to clean and not too heavy for my baby to hold. The natural response nipple don’t drip but are easy for my baby to drink from. I will recommend both the Avent glass bottles and natural response nipples to all parents!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3 bottle set is high quality glass and feels very comfortable while bottle feeding. Fewer parts makes this bottle set easy to clean and sanitize! I love how natural the nipple is and how it is a no drip system, my daughter was able to bottle feed effectively! I noticed a positive difference while bottle feeding with these as opposed to my regular brand and will definitely continue to use this brand. I received the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle set from Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review!

Great Bottle Set!

When my first son was born I used the Phillips avent bottles, but switched to a narrower bottle and nipple after struggling with feeding issues— my son had a lip and tongue tie. My second son was born this past May (2022) and was a completely different experience. He likes to exclusively breast feed and I have struggled with introducing a bottle. I received the Phillips Avent bottle and natural response nipple set from the Steller Product Testing Panel and decided to give them a go — and my son took right to them! There are a couple things I love about the bottles— first off, they are glass making them easy to clean and ultimately look more sanitary then the plastic ones after a few uses. Secondly, less parts to clean and keep track of! These bottles come with 4 parts and that is including a cap. My other bottles have 6 because of the anti colic vent inside that has to be dismantled and cleaned. 7 if you count the little disk that keeps the bottle from spilling. This leads me to the third plus about these bottles being that they have an anti leak nipple so no disk needed! As for the nipples, my son usually needs a lot of coaxing to latch and take a bottle. He will repeatedly detach and try to root. When I introduced the bottle he had no problem latching or staying latched. He appeared comfortable and remained latched for his full feeding. I am definitely looking forward to the freedom these bottles will provide me with other family members being able to take part in feeding him! The only thing I will say is that the glass bottle is a little heavier and I would worry about it being flung if he tries to feed himself but, overall there are so many positives about this set. I would highly recommend and will definitely not be using anything else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My baby was born premature and has been accustomed to direct breastfeeding for quite a while. We were having difficulty introducing bottles and tried all kinds. The Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple was provided to try by the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it was the first one that my baby picked up and instantly took to. I love the no-drip tip because my baby likes to toss the bottle when they are done and other nipples have produced quite a mess. The nipples are wonderful and very simple to disassemble and clean and I believe the design was crucial to how well my baby took to the nipple as it resembles the real thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I've struggled to find a bottle that my 10 month old would consistently accept and I was very happy to see her drink a full bottle. The nipple has a no-drip feature so it does not leak. More milk in baby's belly, and none on the couch! Also the glass bottles are very nice, although obviously heavier than the plastic bottles, and I wish I had bought them in the past.

Review of Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle for a few weeks now with my 17 month old son. He typically has one bottle when he wakes up and one before bed. This bottle has worked great for us and I would give an overall rating of four stars based on the following: Appearance - The bottle is the perfect size allowing for 8 ounces of milk. - It is not too wide and not too thin, so it is very easy to place in the side of a diaper bag. - As the title suggests, the bottle is glass. On one hand this gives me piece of mind that this bottle is very safe and free from any toxins, however the flip side does mean that it is heavier than plastic bottles and breakable. Cleaning - These bottles are a dream to clean. Cleaning bottles can be such a chore, but these bottles are so simple, with very few and easy to wash pieces. It makes cleaning fast and simple. Usage - My LO took to the bottle very easily. No transition period needed. - The nipple has been great. My LO tends to move around and puts his bottles down and then picks them back up. With other bottles this has been an issue because they start to leak on our couch, however with these nipples I’ve noticed very minimal leakage. My couch is very happy! - The only concerns I’ve had with the usage of this bottle is the glass. My LO sometimes throws his bottle when he’s finished and I’ve been a little worried that he’s going to throw it on the ground and break it. Additionally, glass being heavier, he sometimes gets lazy and wants me to hold it for him at the end. Overall I think these bottles are fantastic and I would definitely recommend to a friend. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this product to test and review.

A great glass alternative

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting to try out a glass bottle for a long time so I was excited to receive the Philips Avent Glass Bottles. My baby is older and can be fairly picky with her bottles, but she took to the Natural Response Nipple right away. She is mostly breastfed but had no issue with this nipple, it has a nice wide shape and is very soft and flexible. As she is older, colic and gas are no longer issues for us, but this nipple has a great anti-colic air vent on it (one of the best I’ve seen!) so I feel like that would be quite beneficial for a younger baby. The bottles themselves are gorgeous. The shape is very ergonomic and nice to hold, and the glass is lightweight but sturdy. They are slightly taller and narrower than their plastic counterpart, and hold a little bit less milk (8oz vs. 9oz) but that’s not an issue for us. Lastly, they are easy and quick to assemble/ disassemble and clean due to only being 3 pieces. They’ve held us great in the dishwasher thus far. Overall I’m very pleased with these bottles and nipples, and so is my baby! I would highly recommend them to other parents. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle and nipple set to test and review.

A Perfect Transitional Choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple, 8oz, 3 pack, through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The timing of this was perfect for me, as my eight month old has been transitioning to more solids, but hadn’t taken to any liquids other than breastmilk yet. My doctor had recommended including water in her diet, and these fit the bill. First, the natural response nipples were an ideal transition for my baby, because the method used to drink from them was so similar to breastfeeding. For her first use she was momentarily confused, but she took to it very quickly. I didn’t notice any unusual gas or colic issues, which was a concern I had about transition to a bottle, so that was a big plus. This is a niche concern, but because I still breastfeed I was worried about my daughter developing a “bottle preference”, which happened with one of my older children. Because bottles are much easier to drink from, some babies prefer them over the breast. Luckily, this nipple required her to work just as hard as the breast, so it didn’t introduce any issues for us. The only other nipple I know of on the market that works like this is complex, and will totally fail (ie spill) if you put it together incorrectly. Further, the long, narrow design was off-putting for my older children. This nipple is essentially fool proof to put together, and the wider fit is both comfortable and wonderfully easy to clean. All in all I think this nipple fulfills a much-needed niche and represents a real improvement over other models currently available. I would recommend it to anyone looking to introduce a baby to the bottle gently. Lastly, the bottles were lovely. They are a good weight, comfortable to hold, and easy to clean and sterilize. They are heavier than a plastic bottle, but my daughter didn’t struggle to hold them at 8 months. I did accidentally drop one on my wood floor and it did not break, but I would be cautious about using them on the go. Beautiful to look at, though!

The only bottle my breastfed baby will take

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been struggling to help my infant daughter take a bottle for a year, I’ve tried everything different brands different nipple flows all the tricks. Nothing worked. This bottle was and is the ONLY bottle my little girl will take. They are designed for her to grasp easily and the nipple flow was just right for her pace. Received this product from Stellar Product as a testing panel and I was originally thinking there’s no way she’ll take this. Turns out this is the winner ! I am now stocking up so I can send her to daycare with pumped breastmilk and can have the assurance that she’s getting moms milk during the day. I am absolutely thrilled. She had no issues no gas no spit up. Highly recommend !

Great bottle and nipple set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set. This was our first time using a glass bottle and both bottle and nipple were a hit for my baby (8 months old). She was able to easily grasp and hold the bottle on her own, and turn it upside down without any leakage. The wide nipple provided a natural shape for a good latch and perfect flow. She has had issues in the past with nipples that flow too quickly and give her reflux. Philips nipple had a slow enough flow that she didn’t choke or spit up, and allowed her time to pause and swallow. I loved that there were minimal pieces to this bottle, making it easy to clean and sterilize after every use.

Great Nipple for combo feeding and easy cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s been tough trying to find a nipple that my little would take to. She is mostly breastfed, but I need her to take a bottle here and there when I’m not with her. Thankfully she took to the Philips Avent Natural Response nipple. This nipple is similar to the shape of a natural nipple - and from what I could tell, easily mimicked the breast as my little had no issues using it. She is able to drink comfortably, at her own pace, without having milk leak out of the bottle. I really liked the design of the nipple, where it does not leak or spill! She’s even dropped the bottle and no spills - mom win! My little doesn’t seem to have any gas issues using these bottles, so I believe they’re a great fit for babes with colic-y or gas issues. The bottle set and natural response nipple is easy to clean, as the nipple is extra wide. No tiny cracks to clean! I also love that these bottles (and nipples!) are dishwasher safe. (I haven’t put the nipples in the dishwasher so I cannot speak to that, but hand washing them is a breeze). I love the ease of throwing everything in the dishwasher, and I feel more comfortable putting the glass bottles in the dishwasher. They’re also super easy to assemble with just 3 parts. Everything fits together perfectly. I love the idea of glass bottles, and have been scared to try them in the past. They are great as glass is always preferred to plastic, but they are on the heavy side. It took some time for my little to get used to the weight of the glass. And carrying them in the diaper bag was a little for me to get used to with the extra weight, but after a few days mom strength kicked in and we were good to go. Overall, the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple, 8oz, 3 pack is a great product. It’s helped my little ease into using a bottle and still take the breast. They’re easy to clean and although heavier than a plastic bottle, the glass just seems a bit more sterile. I would recommend this for anyone who is nervous about nipple confusion, and wants to successfully combo feed! It’s worked great in our home and my little seems to love them. Perhaps mama will actually get a full night out! *wink* Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle set. This bottle/nipple is amazing. My breastfed baby was more receptive to this bottle/nipple shape compared to other ones I’ve tried. There was literally no milk that leaked out at all. So mess free! It has a great design that is easy to assemble which I believe is what prevents the leaks as well. My son didn’t seem to have any gas/discomfort after either. Definitely recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We tested this product through Stellar Product Testing Panel. We have been using Phillips Avent bottles for my son since introducing bottles and this was the first nipples he didn’t take. They were easy to clean, they don’t leak but they also don’t even let you drip a few drops out to test milk temperature. This is the reason why I’m giving only 3 stars as I think it’s important to test temperature to ensure baby will not burn their mouth. I love using the glass bottles as I feel they wash better and also retains heat better. I will likely continue to use the bottles with a different nipple that fits them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our baby has always been easily able to switch back and forth between bottles and breasts, but we weren’t too sure about how he’d do with this new bottle set. The reason why we’ve decided to try the Phillips Avent Glass Natutal Baby Bottle with Natural Response Nipple is because we’ve been looking for something that’s leak and mess free as the baby grows older. With our active baby who’s constantly on the go, he would abruptly let go of the nipple, turn his face, pull the bottle away..etc while drinking his milk, making the milk leak/splash everywhere. Firstly, baby had zero issue switching to these new bottles from another brand that he’s been using since birth. He seems to like the wide design of Phillips Natural Response nipple. Baby is able to comfortably drink and pause without any milk leaking out of his mouth. This is a win win for everyone! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the no-drip tip! Just one thing to be mindful about is to research the correct nipple flow for your baby with this new design. What we noticed is that the natural response nipple seems to be a lot slower compared to the traditional free-flow nipple; a higher nipple flow would’ve worked out much better for our baby. Secondly, we appreciate that there’s no extra parts or anything complicated to assemble the bottle. It’s also super easy to pop the clear tip from the white plastic top, wash, sterilize, and dry. This is a win-win for everyone! We received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and we are so glad we did! This bottle set has been our go to since we’ve received it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle and Natural Nipple were received through the Stellar Product Testing Panel free to review on. The leak proof was tested by my thirteen month old son. Not a single drop was found, he also bit and pulled at it and it didn't fail. He easily took to the system and had no issues with with sucking and didn't need to take breaks for a breath. Nipples were also easy to clean but definitely need a small brush to clean the inside of the nip. The nipple does need a bit of an easier indicator on where to line it up for the air release. The bottles are durable and didn't break from dropping them and also easy to clean. No smell from either the nipple or the bottles.

The bottle is easy to clean and there is no stress about plastic toxins. I highly recommend these bottles and nipples for your babes of any age!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to the Stellar panel for allowing me to review this bottle and nipple! I’ve been exclusively breast feeding my youngest and have had a difficult time trying to get her to accept a bottle. After having tried 4 other types of nipples, this one finally did the trick. She seems to enjoy the width of the nipple and is able to control the flow of milk so no issues with gas or colic. I definitely recommend this nipple, it’s the closest I’ve seen to the real thing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple, 8oz, 3 pack as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have tried various bottles and nipples in the past and have always been pleased with Philips Avent bottles. Their comfortable grip and shape make bottle feeding easy. My little one accepted this nipple easily and was able to drink comfortably. I appreciate the no-drip feature for my babies sake however, it made it difficult to test the milk’s temperature prior (I usually pour a few drops on my wrist). Overall, I was pleased with this product and it’s easy to clean design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was looking forward to testing this out as my baby has refused any bottle I’ve tried (I exclusively breastfeed, but pump sometimes). Unfortunately, she only used it once and then refused to take it after that! She didn’t have any issues drinking from it - she was able to comfortably drink. My baby doesn’t have any gas or colic issues so I’m not sure how it would work for babies that do. I found this bottle extremely easy to clean and put together.

Best Nipple for Breastfed and Combo Fed Babies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this bottle to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The bottle I was given was a 4oz, not 8 oz, bottle. My baby is predominately breastfed and is 11 months old and the responsive nipple is the best thing I have ever tried with my baby! I LOVE that it doesn’t drip without the baby sucking on it. It makes for a way less messy feed, especially because I let my baby feed himself and he sometimes likes playing with the bottle. I also think he helps mimick the breast - which is amazing! I wish I had these bottles sooner!! The bottles were also very easy to clean, and not a million pieces. Will definitely be using this bottle as my primary bottle moving forward!
