Q: Why are two of the colors both called cream? Is one of them actually white? Is the other beige? Are any of them an ivory color?

A: The one that states "white" is actually more of an antique looking white, it is not a true white, if that helps

Q: Does this hold up after several washes in a washing machine? I would probably need to clean throw it in the wash once a month or so because we have dogs. I'm trying to compare to other brands that advertise being very durable.

A: We had one for 9 years that was in my daughter's room from birth till we re-did her room earlier this year (we actually bought a new one just a different color). These rugs take an absolute beating. My daughter has thrown up on it, spit up on it, peed on it and it was washed so many times and came out looking like a champ EVERY TIME. I do recommend that you just air dry it either inside or outside and just fluff on low to take the hardness away after air drying it. I loved this rug so much that when we re-did her room, I just got the same rug but in a different color. I actually still have the old one that I am going to use in the laundry area in the basement when I get to that point.

A: I suggest you go to a site like houzz.com and look at pictures of living rooms with throw rugs to get an idea of what looks right to you. I have a hard time visualizing rugs in my space so seeing examples really helps.

A: Hello – No, I don’t believe a 7 x 10 will physically fit into a washing machine. The 4 x 6 size and below can fit into a washing machine, so yes, they can be washed, but not the 7 x 10 size. – Simonne

Literally a small plastic sheet wrapped around the center and rest of rug fully exposed, arrived super dirty - beyond not okay. also said only wash in commercial washer?! And also no label or mention of anything being oeko tex certified. DISAPPOINTED IN TARGET!!!!!

You really can’t beat the price for a oeko Tex certified rug. It’s comfortable and cute but sadly didn’t last in our home due to a pet having an accident on it - it’s very difficult to clean, but this is true for any shag rug, not just this one. I definitely recommend if you don’t have pets that might have similar issues.

I bought the 4'x6" rug in white a couple of years ago to use as a bath mat in my master bathroom, which is a large space that needed more than a standard size bath mat or runner. It feels very soft under my feet and absorbs moisture well. It has held up great and also washes well. My washer has no center agitator, and I put this rug through a regular wash cycle with a strong detergent and then air dry it. Yes, it looks matted after washing, but it's easy to fluff up with an attachment on my Dyson Animal. As with any other shag rug, this should not be vacuumed with a beater bar. Vacuum the back to loosen dirt and particles, shake it out and then vacuum the front of the rug with an attachment. I just ordered a second rug in grey because we painted the bathroom a different color. Nice little washable rug for a great price.

Like other reviewers, this is a VERY thin rug and would feel amazing with a commercial carpet pad underneath. That being said, the texture is sooo soft and lovely and lays well. It looks great! One consideration: I found it is VERY difficult to vacuum. I don't know if it's because it's so thin or the Dyson (plug in Animal) is so strong vs not tall enough to accommodate the length of the fibers? either way it was impossible to push it. I brought up my old Dirt Devil that I use to vacuum my outside carpets and that worked well. Because of this and the nature of the rug in general, I think it has the potential to be very high maintenance trapping dirt and pet hair for those with young kids and pets. I have ultimately decided to roll it up and replaced it with something much easier to clean. I haven't decided whether to move it to another room or get rid of it. I really wish it was less maintenance because I LOVE the feeling on my feet- so cozy and lovely- even in the summer!

This rug was just what I was looking for. It’s the perfect size for my space and love the ivory shag. Nice and soft. Bought the Mohawk rug pad to put underneath it but it’s not really necessary. Thought it might make it warmer come winter. Have not laundered it as yet so can’t address how it’ll do. Just shake it out when it needs fluffing.

I got this rug for our living room since we have small kids and it was advertised as washable. To my surprise, the instructions that came with it say “professional cleaning recommended” and mention nothing about being machine washable. Now I’m seeing lots of reviews about it falling apart in the wash…that would be why. It will do for the price, but not being washable means it will have a short life in this house. Couple lack of washing ability with not being able to vacuum with a beater bar and it will very quickly get gross.

I have owned about 14 of these in grey, pink and cream. I have a doggy pee-er, so can't have rugs that can't be washed! I learned how to wash so they stay new looking. Warm water, not hot. I use the Deep Fill, Heavy Dirt, High Spin. I previously used hot water on the first 5 and they didn't last very long, tore up the backing and matted. With the water change, they look brand new 6 months later. I fluff the heavily used ones in the dryer with a scented dryer sheet DAILY, for dog hair (I have 6 dogs, so that's why I fluff daily). I wash about every 3-4 weeks. I have attached a picture of the CREAM in my ALL WHITE house. My painted floors/walls are BM Pure White. Looks great! These stay put on a wood and tile flooring. Don't try to vacuum them, waste of time.
