[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for my 4 year old who transitioned to a big kid bed today, and it seems like it will do the job now that it’s set up. The rail itself is sturdy and gives me (and my anxious kid) some peace of mind. The mesh panel is nice but probably more important for younger kiddos. That said, assembly was more of a headache than I felt like it should have been. It honestly took longer to assemble the rail than it did to assemble the entire bed frame! It arrived in a small box and although assembly isn’t complicated, the instructions aren’t clear. We opted for screwing it into the slat boards because I honestly couldn’t figure out the strap. It’s secure but it means we’ll need the drill to take it down when the time comes. It was just a bit more chaotic and complicated than we really needed on a big day of moving a kid to a new bed.

It’s lightweight, removable and perfect to add some peace of mind for the kids when they are sleeping in the RV bed (which is just a dinette table that folds down into a bed) that is just a little bit higher up than the normal bed. The netting is perfect to let you see what’s going on or if you are using a baby monitor to keep an eye on the kids.In addition, the netting helps if you have younger babies and they roll up against it for safety. The bed is a little bit high in our camper, so this just gave us some added piece of protection to know that they’re not gonna roll off the bed in the middle of the night while they’re sleeping. This was a breeze to set up and we were able to bolt it to the bottom of the bed so we can slide it in and out as needed.

We don’t typically cosleep but on vacation I love to bring this with us as it’s lightweight. I appreciate the size and it fits well in our king size bed. This is a must for every parent.
