May not fit your infant car seat
We thought it was the right one to fit the car seat that we got from a friend for free but forgot to give us a base. It even said 35 like the car seat suggested in comparison to the other base on here. Don't be like us with a decent age gap and getting free car seats with out a base. Get a brand new car seat with base included and lay eyes on what the base exactly looks like before buying any extras, It will save you time, money, and headaches.

Not compatible
We bought the 8-in-1 Grow & Go travel system through Target. We bought this base to have as an additional for our second car- DO NOT BUY. It is not compatible and unfortunately, this is the only base Target sells of Safety First.

The description does NOT match the original description from safety first website. This is not compatible with the on board 35 LT. Target needs to update this!

Stroller base
Safety 1st Smooth Ride Travel system should list the base number in its description. It took me an hour and a half of research to locate the Base number which I located in a response to a review someone else wrote. Extra bases are often needed and would be helpful if listed with car seat/system being purchased.

Great description on product!!!
This is the second base we have purchased to fit my niece’s car seat. First one didn’t fit and didn’t have a very good description about what seats fit this base. This one fit perfectly and had a great description. Should have come to the target app first!

We were told, by customer service employee, that this base also works for the Safety 1st Smooth Ride car seat. It doesn’t work at all for the Smooth Ride seat and you can’t order a base for the Smooth Ride car seat. Very disappointed in the Safety 1st products

The Smooth Ride travel system has an onBoard LT car seat and requires use of the LT version of the base. For your car seat, you need base model IC289BLK. There are currently four onBoard 35 types of car seats: 35LT, 35, 35AIR and 35AIR+. The product description clearly states that this base fits ALL 35 series car seats. However, beware that the 35LT car seat is the only type that this base does NOT fit. This is so unfortunate, because I've really liked all safety 1st products so far.

This is the right car seat base for the Safety 1st OnBoard 35 car seat that we purchased a few months ago. Manufacture date is 11/2015, so it's not an old product (we were told it has been recently discontinued).

Great base for Eddie Bauer Origin!
I had been looking for an extra base for the Eddie Bauer Origin car seat I had bought and couldn't find one. I read the reviews on this one and thought I'd give it a try. It worked great. I would highly recommend anyone to try it with Eddie Bauer especially for the price.

product as as advertised (safety first)
This is a safety first car seat base. It comes in the safety first box and has the onboard 35 base. Everything worked as expected. This is slightly different than the onboard 35 air base. It works fine for the air carrier seat, but there is only a belt path. There isn't a flap that you clamp down to help hold the seat belt in place. This is fine in my van, but not in our old crv which doesn't tighten very well.

Awesome fit!
Loved this product we actually put this one in my suv with the bucket captains chairs in the second row. The factory one in my husbands truck because the adjusting bottom is needed for a bucket style seat. It works great! The adjustable bottom is great for bucket style seats!

This item was deceiving and doesnt fit my sons car seat at all...Dont buy this thinking they all fit because its safety first..
