The flavor was nice by itself without adding any other spices, which made using it for food prep very simple. There are many different meals that this sauce can be used for. No extra virgin olive oil, its SOY BEAN OIL.
I only used it because I needed it. Target label ingredients on the website shows extra-virgin olive oil oil. On the actual label on the back of the bottle it clearly says soybean oil just like all the other flavors. The one I purchased is old world style traditional sauce. This is terrible.

Due to consumer request, Ragu switched back to using soybean oil. The label of the jar has the most current information. Unfortunately, it appears that Target's website had not been updated.

Good for pasta

Versatile Red Sauce
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I opened my sauce and poured in the pan I dropped the jar, I wasn’t able to get a picture! But the packaging was great there weren’t any leaks at all. Flavor is good but me personally I always add a little extra. It wasn’t spicy or acidic either. This can be used for pizza, or any red sauce dishes even pizza! It’s a great “base”, and the color is very clear that’s it’s a red sauce.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ragu really stepped up their game with their Old World Style Traditional Sauce! Prior to trying it, I was never really a Ragu fan as I preferred more of a homestyle flavor and I always found their original tomato sauce to be too sweet for my liking. This one, however, is completely different. It has a flavorful, robust taste that makes me think of traditional, homemade Italian marinara sauce. It smelled amazing when I was cooking with it and it tasted yummy when mixed in with pasta. Honestly, it was a bummer when the jar finished because it was absolutely delicious! After trying this sauce, I can honestly say I would start buying Ragu and recommend it to others.

Simple easy comfort food

We've liked Ragu forever, but this new one is thick, sticks to the noodles and the ribs; and is just, generally speaking, comfort food.
