I've been buying PG Tips for about five years now. Compared to other mainstream black tea brands, it brews on the lighter side, so if you prefer a strong cup, you may want to steep it longer or double up. End of an era
PG Tips was once the most popular tea in England, and for good reason. Now that the company has been sold to private equity investors, the "New PG Tips Original" has been reformulated. It is weak and void of any attractive qualities. You do quickly get a cup of tea-colored warm water with very little bitterness.

Not the same shape or taste
I have been drinking PG tips for years. I lived in England for a few years and this was my favorite tea. But now the tea bags are no longer pyramid shape, even though the description on Target’s website says they are, they don’t have the same amount of tea in the bags and the flavor is not the same. The box was not secured with plastic like the old box and when I opened it, there were tea particles everywhere. The bags are cheaply made so be careful when trying to separate them.

Misleading product description
All information and photos on the Target website about this box of PG Tips tea specify that you're getting pyramid-shaped tea bags and all the wonderful attributes of this amazing design (and probably upcharging for the experience). Not so! Plain ol' flat squares.

So annoyed, Target.
These are not the “pyramid” tea bags as the description says… they are flat squares with no strings So you have to use a tong to dunk them in a mug of hot water. (I don’t get out a teapot to make tea, this is Ohio.)

New bag design and bland tea
The bags are no longer shaped right and the tea doesn't taste as good. Used to have excellent tea flavor. Now tastes like all other American tea. Shame.
