I liked the idea of a thicker mat for protection, however it slid all around the seat and was unsafe for a car seat. No grips on the back or ability to tighten it enough to make it not slide around. Had to return. Got a thinner one and much happier.

the bottom nonslip did not work at all against our leather seats and since it doesn't actually secure itself to anything, the car seat ended up sliding way too much to make it safe to use. returned the next day.

Not for rotating car seats
Really wanted this to work but this seat protector isn’t ideal for car seats that can rotate (we have the chicco rotating fit360 clear tex) as it moves your car seat off position and can be a hazard for proper car seat levels.

Car seat slides everywhere
Honestly the material is VERY sturdy and def won’t leave a mark on your car seat but is very very unsafe for children. I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why my child’s new car seat kept sliding around and it looked crooked, despite the fact is was placed perfectly. The sliding around is a huge issue and I likely will take it back for a refund. So disappointed in this trash.

Research your carseat first
Check your car seat manual. Not all car seats are rated to be using these. I have one car seat that you can use these with (Graco) and one specifically says no (Cybex).

EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, DO NOT BUY THESE.
Do not buy these! These have been revamped and no longer have the blue grips on both the top and bottom where the carseat would sit and where it would add friction between the cover and the seat itself to prevent movement. THESE ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. The car seat will slide because of the grips they have removed. We have 4 of the old ones and just bought a two new ones and again they have removed the blue grips. I cannot stress enough how dangerous the new ones are!! Some previous reviews stated the blue grips left some indents but trust me much less than the seat itself. We got the seat as tight as we could possibly get it and the car seat slid everywhere with the newer version. Very disappointing. Post Covid you have to be very careful with quality. Same price but much lower quantity.

DO NOT BUY if you prioritize your kids safety over preserving your seat
There is no anti slip design, so no matter how tight you install the car seat, it will slide because the bottom surface is smooth. I’m a 6’ 225” man, so I can get the car seat tight. It is a pretty stiff protector, so it will protect your cars seat. However, if you prioritize your kids safety over the cars seat, DO NOT BUY
