My husband loves this product. Much better than shave gels as it rinses off better and doesn't clog the bathroom drain. Very good value as a little goes a long way.

I bought this shaving cream in hopes it would be great. However I noticed that it would give me almost a burning sensation. When I’d apply it to my clean face. Also wasn’t a fan of the thick cream like texture it has.

I bought this a year ago and it was great. Bought it again last month and every time I've used it, has been an awful burning sensation. It's genuinely uncomfortable and painful. This product and brand are official dead to me. I wish I could give negative stars for this awful decision.

I don't normally write reviews. But have to do it for this product. The company clearly changed the formula recently, which took it from amazing to **quite literally the worst thing I've ever used.** It BURNS. Avoid at all cost. I reached out to Van der Hagen multiple times to express this, but they refuse to respond. Do not buy.

I have been using this to shave my legs, and it works great and leaves skin soft. I have not noticed any burning sensation but I have not been using it on my face

I've been using this for years and have loved it, I'm on my third or fourth tube now. I just bought a replacement and when I went to apply, it burns my skin?? I see the ingredients have changed a little, I'm no scientist, these are in the new bottle: Glyceryl Distearate, Glyceryl Monostearate, Palmitic Acid, Potassium Stearate, Myristic Acid, and Sodium Chloride. Unfortunately I have a whole tube I can't use because it burns.

Burns! I tossed after realizing there must be some excessive amount of alcohol or other irritant in there. Can not be good for the skin if it’s that painful.

I used for first time this morning. It works well but as soon as I put it in, has a fairly strong burning sensation on my face that did not go away until I was done and washed off. Was really weird and I see complaints on multiple sale sites about this issue since about May. Appears to be a change in product that is causing the heat on face. I am tossing.

I used to like this product. Then they must have changed the formulation. I bought 2 tubes on sale ~4/25. Both tubes have this mild burning sensation so the cream becomes uncomfortable to leave on and you want if off quickly

I've been using for years but last tube burned my skin so badly I couldn't finish my shave. I thought I bought a new "menthol" version but it's the same Shave Butter I always buy. They must have changed the formula. Why would they mess with a good thing???

My husband and I have both been using this for years, the last bottle we bought we both had a reaction to it. I have a rash all down my legs after using this last bottle and it was burning my husband's head when he applied it. I'm so disappointed, why change things up when they work well?

I purchase this for my boyfriend and he really enjoys how this shaving cream and after shave in one. He rubs in the excess and it prevents razor burn.

My husband has tried over a dozen different brands of shave creams and prefers this one. The price is great for the quantity and quality. I added it to our online order and was happy to see that Target bagged it with a zip tie inside the box in case it accidentally opened during shipping to prevent from leaking on other items. It did not leak but I appreciated the extra step to keep all my items safe.

I'm 21 never had any reactions to food, drug, or environment. The first time using it I immediately saw my legs have a reaction (bumps, redness) probably hives. Couldn't believe it, I thought maybe it was the razor I switched it , used a small amount of cream. Second time reaction was in fact hives on my face, legs , and chest. Immediately rinsed and threw it away along with razor. Never knew I had any allergies. I'm thinking it's a nut allergy. And you're never old enough to not develop allegies. Be careful.
