Tastes nice on pasta
Packaging is what’s to be expected from a canned product. The top is fairly easy to open. It has a nice flavor and is consistent from container to container. I’m not sure how versatile this is. since it’s a very specific kind of flavor. I’ve purchased it many times.

Never enough pesto
This stuff stays stocked in my kitchen. So versatile pasta and sandwiches galore. I also like to keep the packaging for little cute jars. It’s a strong flavor as I am personally not a fan of bland pesto. Big fan of basil pesto!

Classico Signature Recipes Traditional Basil Pesto Sauce & Spread is a winner when it comes to good packaged pesto. It has amazing flavor and you can use it for so many different things. I do wish there was a bigger jar, but otherwise this is one of my favorites.

Could taste fresher
Although this is one of the better mainstream store-bought pestos, it still has a pretty strong “packaged basil” taste. I usually add some fresh or even freeze dried basil to help combat the wimpy basil taste.

I love pesto so I still finished the bottle but this was pretty mediocre. Very oily and was really more chunky than smooth. The basil was more of a secondary flavor after oil and salt

Like that Target carry’s the larger size for less then other stores smaller jar. Use this sauce to make chicken, pesto, artichoke pizza. Perfect on pizza, never tried on pasta.

Debris and stems in pesto
Ouchie! Was eating a dish I made with chicken breast, rotini pasta, and Classico pesto sauce - bit into what I thought was a pine-nut shell piece. But I looked at the ingredients, and pine nuts aren't used in this type of pesto. So what was the hard object that lodged into my teeth and made such a terrible noise? Yuck. I should have stopped eating right then, because several bites later a very hard stem got lodged into my upper right gums. I literally pulled it out of my gums like an arrow. What do you guys use to make your pesto??!!

Ground nutshells in batch?
I purchased two jars. One was great! Loved the flavor & consistency. The second one however had what I think was nutshell fragments throughout entire jar. At least one per bite. Definitely took the enjoyment out of eating it when you need to stop at every forkful of pasta to fish out a shell. It might have been from machinery or ground pebbles from the greens? No idea, just guessing at shells, but very unpleasant. I won’t buy again based on this. Had to toss out my company dinner & took them out instead.

Love this pesto mix and it’s perfect for those lazy days when I just can’t be bothered to cook. All I do is cook some pasta and mix this while the pasta is still hot, add some parmesan cheese, and voila! Quick and tasty meal!

This is the most disgusting pesto I have ever tasted! I love pesto and had never tried Classico pesto. For some reason I thought I’d try it. It is so foul and nasty. I opened the jar to taste it and was disgusted. I took one more taste to be sure. Absolutely disgusting, threw it he the jar in the trash. Do not purchase this. Just nasty!!!
