Bags arrived torn open because they weren't shipped in a box.
I’ve been buying this dog food for years. For some reason, Target stopped shipping inside a brown shipping box like they used to and now a label is just attached to the side of the bag. These bags aren’t sturdy enough to withstand the UPS/FedEx sortation facilities and delivery process. The two bags I ordered both arrived torn open - one had food spilling out & the other one was clearly taped up the shipping carrier. This is not okay because it’s not safe to feed pets contaminated food. I had to return/exchange at the store because I don’t know how I’d even ship them back without a box. Please start shipping the dog food in a shopping box again.

Picky dog likes it
My dog tends to be picky about foods and stopped eating some of the gravy chunks and letting the flies get to it. She lost a lot of weight due to not wanting to eat the previous food. As soon as I put this little bag down to open it, she smelled it and got super excited never have tasted this one before. I put in the recommended daily portion and she instantly went chomping on it. It was a way better response than I expected. Going to be monitoring her weight recovery and update later if it declines.

Won't eat.
My dog, who isn't a picky eater, won't eat this dog food. I've tried various things to make it palatable but all efforts have failed. Please don't waste your money.

My dog food bag did not come covered or in a package. The bag looked like it was trampled all black and had a small hole. I’m sure it was the delivery drivers fault. But if it had been packaged maybe it would not have been torn up.

Formula has changed and its trash
Caused severe skin allergies after formula was changed in 2025. After years of the same dog food we can’t trust this brand anymore.

I’ve been using this brand for years. My boxer is having gas issues. Occasionally vomits and has smelly odd looking stool. The vet told me to switch his food. I looked at Nutrish and soybean meal is the second ingredient and it can cause gas, bloating, abnormal stools, and vomiting in dogs. I’ve switched to another brand that has no soy, no corn, no grain, all of which are added in Nutrish.

They will go crazy!
I don't know what is in this, but it's like crack to my dogs! They go crazy for this dog food. Too crazy for my taste! Buyer beware! Haha! My dogs gobble it up so fast I've had to start mixing it with another brand just so they would pace themselves and actually chew! Even my very picky golden retriever fights to come inside to eat her meals every time, when I would have to practically drag her in with her old brand. If you have a picky dog, give this one a try!

My senior dog has always loved this brand and doesn’t have an issue eating it. I just wish the ingredients were a little cleaner, but she’s happy with it!

The only issue I have with this dog food is the smell. It’s so potent, makes 1/2 the house reek like a bad soup. Dogs like it, but not worth it.

Might be cause of epilepsy
My dog has been on nutrish since he was born. 9 years later he begins to have seizures monthly. Went through all the tests etc. .. no specific reason although the internet claims it could be dietary related. now at 10 years I switch him to Hill’s science diet and he has been seizure free ever since. Coincidence? I think not
