This is the first and last time I will purchase this product. Completely agree with all the other reviewers who said this product doesn't clump. It's pure garbage. Not only does all the liquid sink to the bottom of the box and you have to literally pry it off the bottom, it breaks into a million tiny little pieces that just fall right through the scooper. Not only that but the charcoal pieces are impossible to wipe off the floor and leave dark streaks when I try to wipe them. It's a nightmare. Maybe this product was great at one point but I'll never know.

I have been using this litter for six years and it was great until they decided to “improve” the product and now it no longer clumps well. It breaks every time I scoop and there is no way to pick the small pieces. It soaks all the way to the bottom of the litter box and it makes the entire box and the litter stink of urine! The new “improved” formula is a pure garbage! I am switching to a different brand.

It simply doesn't clump as firmly as it used to. Tends to break up sometimes into smaller pieces that the scooper cannot catch. So New Improved then actually means "we cheapened the product so it doesn't work as well as before while keeping the price the same."

if i could give this zero stars i would. got this in a pinch since the Target brand was not in stock, and its terrible. It does not clump at all!!! it falls apart as soon as you scoop it, tracks everywhere, giant pebbles as litter, and lacks any real odor control. do not waste your money on this.

This was the best clumping litter I’ve used-until it was recently “improved.” Now the clumps break apart when you scoop and little pieces go through the scoop and back in the box. It’s a very time consuming & annoying chore now. How about going back to the previous formula?

Formula change = AWFUL! New formula does not clump nearly as well as the previous light grey formula. Despite a large mat outside of the litter box to get extra litter off the paws, this new formula is being tracked all over the house. SO DISAPPOINTING! If it's not broke, don't fix it!

Sticker on outside of jug says improved clumping; “liar, liar, pants on fire!” What employee fudged the numbers to say it was better to justify their employment? It works about a tenth as well as it used to. When it does clump the clumps often disintegrate when you attempt to scoop them! I thought at first I might have got a bad batch but several jugs later, same result. Shame on Purina for obviously putting less of the ingredients in that make it clump while trying to convince us they didn’t do that by advertising that the product is improved.

I tried the lightweight but it was too light and was kicked out of the box and tracked on the floor. However, this type is the perfect fit, as it's the perfect weight to stay in the litter box and off the floor. I'm very happy with this product!

I've been using a different cat litter for several years now and I don't know why but I thought I would try this. And I can't wait to get rid of this stuff. For some reason it sticks to the bottom of my cat's feet and the amount of cat litter all over my floor in just one day is insane. And this stuff is bigger than my other stuff so it's like stepping on small rocks even with socks on. And it gets all over the couch too

It doesn't clump; it acts more like concrete in the litter box. Very hard to scoop out. I have used Tidy cat for years and am normally happy with it, but this time I'm not happy with it.

I have noticed that this litter does not clump anymore. says it is clumping but doesn't. The urine sticks to the litter box, breaks in small pieces, leaving the box not clean. Tracks all over the house, not like it was at all. I tried another type of your litter, the 24/7 one and the clumping was only slightly better

I never imagined that a product made for cats could be deadly, but the packaging of Purina Tidy Cats Free & Clean Unscented Clumping Scoop Cat Litter (35 lb) trapped and suffocated my beloved one-year-old cat. We searched for weeks before discovering him inside the container. This same tragedy has happened to other cats, and yet the packaging remains unchanged. Cat owners deserve safe products, not hidden hazards. Until Purina fixes this, I strongly urge retailers and customers to reconsider carrying or purchasing this product.

I'm also here to complain about the new formula... as others have said it went from a light gray to a dark gray, which is how I first noticed it was different. This formula doesn't clump and it is incredibly difficult to scoop because it sticks to the bottom and sides of the litterbox. The parts that do clump will completely fall apart as I am trying to pry it off the bottom of the litterbox and leave stupid pee partcles all throughout the litter that make the box smell pretty bad. Y'all better fix this, until then I'm switching brands.
