Cooler night's sleep for sure!
When I took this out of the box, I was not thrilled. The cover on the mattress pad is not soft, feels like the plastic cover that is used for baby mattresses. However, after I put the fitted sheet on it and slept on it, I am very pleased with it. I have a memory foam mattress and I was waking up with night sweats. This cover has solved that issue. I have a comfortable nights sleep now and significantly cooler. I am going to purchase another for my other bed. I would not use the phrase "sleeping on a cloud" to describe it at all, but it is cushy and comfortable. I recommend.

This pad has a thick top layer - about an inch and a half. It is very soft though. Has a crinkly sound when you move around on it but not so loud that it is bothersome. I disagree with others who say it seems cheap. I think it is well-made and high quality. My son says it does keep him cooler as he sleeps. It does not say it is waterproof and when I tested it with a little water, most of it beaded and rolled off, but what was left did soak into the pad.

Do not waste your time
Horrible product! Description is misleading. Would be better described as a mattress protector. Feels like cheap crunchy plastic. Washing did not soften it and it still had a hard plastic feel that can be felt even under thick sheets.
