About The Author

Tessa Roehl has written several books for young people, including Cinderella Takes the Stage, Belle's Discovery, Tiana's Best Surprise, and Aurora Plays the Part. Originally from Oregon, she's now happy to call Los Angeles her home, where she resides with her dog, Milo. She has an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and moonlights in the film and television industry.

Denise Shimabukuro is a freelance children's storybook illustrator, specializing in studio-based projects. Her experience also includes character design for TV animation, as well as 10 years illustrating on staff for Disney Publishing Worldwide. Denise now resides with her husband in Milan, Italy.
