Description
The brilliantly durable and rechargeable NiteHowl LED Safety Necklace by Nite Ize is made with flexible polymer that's illuminated by bright LEDs and can be recharged for hours of nighttime fun and safety. With Disc-O Select, this NiteHowl makes identifying multiple dogs easy with the ability to choose from one of three selectable colors (red, green, blue), plus a unique Disc-O mode that you'll have to see to believe. By illuminating the polymer with multiple colors at the same time, Disc-O mode creates a flowing color-blending pattern that's as fun as it is functional.

Q: can this be put on and taken off easily? I don't want to keep it on my dog all of the time.

A: Magsmom, Thank you for taking the time to leave this question for us. The NiteHowl can easily be taken off your dog when you are not using it. You can cut the polymer tubing to whatever length you want so you can slide it over the dog's head or connect/disconnect via the connection at the LED module. If you use an Android device in your home, the NiteHowl rechargeable uses the same cable. Just what I needed

Cool Lighting/Poor Attchment

Can't get it to charge
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and haven't been able to find a single cord that can charge it without me having to hold it in place.

Couldn't figure out how to put it on phone case
I couldn't figure out how to attach it to my phone case. I assume there was a sticky side to attach it, but it wasn't obvious on how to get to this. I will be returning this item to the store I bought it from

Stopped working after a month and two days
I loved this for my dog, but it stopped holding a charge only a month and two days after I bought it. It would light up for only a few minutes, then go dead, even when it should have been full charged. I'm trying to reach the customer service, wondering if it's a fluke and I received one with a bad battery. When it worked, it was great.

I bought these for my dogs over 5 years ago and they’re still running strong! I get complements almost every night I walk my dogs. I’m not sure why people are complaining on some of these reviews!! Battery Replacement?
I have had 2 of these for about 2 years now. Use them a lot when letting Dogs run on dark beach at night. They have stopped holding a charge as most rechargeable batteries do. Can I replace the rechargeable battery in these?

Junk
I bought 3 of these for my dogs for Christmas. It says they were rechargeable which they are Not! They are battery operated and the batteries wiggle around and will not stay in place. The screw to get that back off is extremely small so it’s not easy to access. I would NOT recommend this product. I bought mine Dec 2024

Those micro-locks do get much easier to open when unlocked, if you twist that block plastic lock counter clockwise it should unlock and allow you to open it much easier.
