Great bang for your buck!
Great mild razor, that gets the job done. Extremely similar to the Mühle R89, but half the price! The head is made in Germany. So it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s the Mühle R89 head. You can’t go wrong getting this razor, especially for the price!

Target shipping issue
It looks nice, but the item I received was damaged. The seal was open and the internal packaging was damaged. It feels weird/ unsafe to use. You’d figure something like this should remain sterile until the person who buys it can actually use it.

Expensive isn’t always better
I bought this razor and thought I needed a more expensive razor about a month later, just because I am an impulse buyer. I ended up buying a Rockwell 6S, which had amazing reviews. Used that for about 3 weeks and switched back to the Gillette King C. I feel like I can pinpoint the angle much easier and get a great quality shave. It’s more mild on my skin as well.

LOVE this razor...best razor ever! Never had a razor glide so smoothly on my face and the fact it unscrews at the top to change the blade is better as my older style with the twist knob at the handle base gunked up and stopped working. Been using it now for approximately 3 months and not 1 razor cut.

Good mess
This MESS is one of the best razors I have use. I have nothing but light peach fuzz. Thin hair. The 1st time I used this I thought it was doing nothing. It shaved effortless. The only negative thing is, don’t tell your wife how good it is… I have a feeling I just lost my razor. I gave her my old Harry’s. But she had a smirk… dang it.

So before I start off with my review I want to say that I also have the Gillette Heritage which is a throw back to the 1930's/40's era of Gillette. It has a recreation of a Gillette "new type" handle and what looks like a Muhle R89 head on it. The Gillette Heritage is truly a wonderful safety razor. Very maneuverable and just the right amount of aggressiveness! Plus the case it comes in is a nice throw back as well. Love it! What got me started in wet shaving was my Dad's 1977 Gillette Super Adjustable. That razor is just fantastic! It's super easy to load the blades in, the handle is very grippy, the TTO mechanism is perfect, the click adjustments are perfect. Everything with that razor is PERFECT! Gillette seriously needs to invest in manufacturing their own Adjustable safety razors again! Seriously Gillette you'd make a killing! Okay so now on to the King C Gillette...... honestly if Gillette is going to throw that name around they should've come out with an Aristocrat like TTO razor similar to the Heritage with a little case and everything. The King C Gillette razor itself isn't a bad product. It looks nice, has a nice heft to it and it's a smooth shaving razor. I do wish the grip on the handle was more like my Super Adjustable in that the grip is the whole length of the handle. I also feel like the Heritage has a slightly more aggressive head then the King C Gillette. Maybe it's just me. But overall it's not a bad razor. I just think Gillette should put more effort into making a Safety razor that's truly their own. Gillette had the Safety Razor market cornered for over 80 years. Wet shaving is making a big come back and I think it's time for Gillette to make their own TTO razors again.

I thought this razor would elevate my shave but sadly, not so. The safety edges are far too big and they only expose the slightest edge of the razor. With the grain or against, many times over, I was still rough as sandpaper. I finished with my Harry’s razor, which left me as smooth as silk. Razor looks great but that’s all it has going for it.

For the best results, we did find that washing your facial hair with warm water, and applying a pre-shave using circular motions help soften the beard making the facial hair easier to remove. After applying the pre-shave, angle the razor at 30 degrees and take short strokes against the grain as you've been doing. First DE Razor in a long Time
This Razor is probably Gillette's best Razor in a very long time. I have to use the Gillette Sensitive razor and Blades when I travel. When I am at home, I default to this razor. You can use the blades these come with (or other blades based on your preferences) and get an excellent shave. Seriously, if flights would allow me to carry the DE blades on checked in baggage, I would only use this razor.

High Quality Product
i just bought this razor a week ago and have used it several times. This was my first real razor, with that said I found it easy to use and it left a clean close shave. Any worries with cutting myself were thrown out the window the minute I began to shave. The blades are easy to change but I haven’t noticed any dullness at all on mine yet. I would highly recommend this razor to anyone!

Only one blade needed
I don't know why all the other razors have 3 blades (maybe so they can sell shaving cream) but one blade is all I need and it works well and doesn't leave marks like 3 bladed razors.

Nothing to be afraid of
I don't have a particularly heavy beard and don't shave daily. Also, I usually shave in the shower instead of lather and a sink. I've been using it since Christmas (6 months) and haven't cut myself once. I would never tell someone to be lackadaisical but, this double-edge safety razor is not that hard to use. Considering it's a one-time expense equal to a ten-pack of Sensor cartridges, it's worth the effort.

Best safety razor for me
I really really like the way this razor assembles because it stays secure while you shave. I say that because I've had other safety razors in the razors and they came loose while I would be shaving and I would have tighten them back up. So that's a winner with this one for sure. This baby has given me the most comfortable smooth shave of my life and guys I'm 38 years old. I've had all types of razors but this is by far the best for me. I don't need another razor!!! Great product!!!

Goodbye Cartridges
