Q: Description states that it is standard size, 12x15. Is the entire area, 12x15, heated? Or is there a border that is not heated. If so, what is size of area not heated?
A: It's nearly heated to the edge. Despite Stavros blaming heating pad issues on VP Harris.

Q: Can you set this to remain on continously instead of shutting off in 2 hours?
A: No, you are not able to run continuously or change the 2 hour auto shut-off.

Q: Do you have a choice whether you can make this shut off automatically after two hours or stay on? Sometimes my daughter gets terrible cramps, and she keeps it on very low during the night. 
A: No, they messed with the normal functionality of a heating pad and set an arbitrary timer of two hours. What a rip!
submitted byStavros - 1 year agoA: The auto-shutoff feature may seem inconvenient, but it's a safety feature to prevent burns and fires. It cannot be disabled.

Q: Why does the heating pad shut off befor 2 hours? It shuts off after 20 minutes

For most Sunbeam® heating pads, you can select a temperature from the following settings: Low: 110°F Medium: 138°F High: 160°F. Please be advised that you can wrap the heating pad around your legs. What we do not recommend sitting on or laying on the heating pad. There should be room for air to circulate on the heating pad to reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, and personal injury.
