Q: Some mattress pads make you hotter when you sleep. Any feedback in this area?

  • A: Hello! You have posted a very good question. But, I would like to put your question into context. There is are several factors that go into a mattress pad or what appears to be a mattress pad sleeping hot. Starting with the mattress, varying types of mattresses have different heat factors. For example memory foam whether on the top of mattress or mattress being 100% memory foam can cause a warm sleeping environment. Next are the sheets, blankets, comforters, etc. have differing effect on the sleeping environment temperature. For the mattress pad, cotton covers offer the best option to have a natural cooling. Second, many fabrics and fills offer water wicking which allows the moisture in or on the mattress pad to dissipate or spread out to help promote a more comfortable nights sleep. So, it was a long way to your answer, but the Casaluna mattress pad does offer one of the best mattress pad options to promote a more comfortable (not as hot) sleep environment. It offers a cotton cover with water repellant/wicking treatment. I apologize for long comment. But, I prefer the Target Guest get the information about making their bedding purchase decisions. i have two of these in my house, a full and king. both of them are on top of a memory foam mattress. my boyfriend really likes a fir mattress and i like a soft one. these make it a happy medium. before i bought my king size topper, i read some reviews about it being really crinkly and i was nervous that it would be. i don’t think it’s crinkly or noisy at all also, after the second wash its perfectly soft

Doesnt Fit

I wish I could give no stars. We have a queen bed. We ordered a queen bed size. This is not a queen bed size. I mean I guess it’s my fault for not measuring before ordering…but I usually just trust that a queen fits a queen mattress. I should’ve taken a photo, the size was hysterical.
