A: Hi, there! Yes, this dual sided rug pad is intended to help keep your rug from sliding. To get the optimal use out of the dual surface rug pad, it needs to be laid according to flooring type. For carpet, place the rug pad under your rug with the felt side facing down toward the floor. For hard surface flooring, place the rug pad under your rug with the non-slip latex rubber side facing down toward the floor.
