I picked up the LEGO City Police Station (60316) expecting a standard police set, but it ended up being one of the more complete and engaging builds in the City lineup. Right away, the size and layout stand out—it’s a full three-level station, not just a facade, which makes it feel like a real centerpiece for a LEGO city setup. The build itself is fun without being overly complicated. It’s broken into sections, so it’s manageable for younger builders, but still interesting enough that it doesn’t feel repetitive. The mix of elements—station, patrol car, helicopter, and even a garbage truck—keeps things varied and adds to the overall play value. What really makes this set work is how playable it is after the build. There are a lot of small details that kids actually use, like the jail area with a breakout function and different rooms throughout the station. It doesn’t just sit on a shelf—it’s the kind of set that gets used over and over for different scenarios. The included minifigures and accessories also help bring it to life. You’ve got enough characters to create real “stories,” and the addition of vehicles makes it feel more dynamic than a static building. That said, it’s not perfect. Some sections of the station are a bit open or simplified, especially compared to more advanced LEGO sets, so older kids (or adults) might find parts of it a little basic. It also takes up a decent amount of space once fully built, which is something to consider if you don’t have a dedicated play area. Can’t really rate this because it is a gift for a grandchild. The reason I gave it only one star is because the box was not completely sealed. Hopefully, all the parts are in the box.

This has got to be the most used Lego set we’ve gotten our son. He’s only 3 and a half but has gotten super into Legos recently (he only plays with them under adult supervision). This set, particularly, has become a favorite. It was super fun to build. I love that he gets to practice using his fine motor skills while playing and how much vocabulary can be learned from this set. Great mix of play and learning

I have my Lego police station from 10 years ago. Comparing it to this Lego set it’s so sad. Like I wanted to get my brother a Lego police station. But feel it’s not as well made as past years.

A very fun and creative build. My nephew enjoyed every detail and fun element.

This was for my son who is almost four and he loved it but the pieces came off so easily. You can imagine the aggravation of everyone so we did some research and saw you can use Elmer’s glue to hold it together.

My grandson loved putting this together and was able to follow the directions fairly easily even though he is almost six.

I purchased this set for my child as a Birthday present. Lego were fantastic, with communication in regard to delivery times. Received the item quickly and even had a Birthday message from your lovely support team. The set is fantastic for children wanting to create scenes, cities and with lots of different parts for imaginative play. In this day & age, anything to help children imagine and create is a winner in my eyes.

Compared to the older one I have from maybe 2011, honestly when I look at this I'm disappointed. I feel the station sets are just getting smaller and smaller and especially the new fire one too. It's sad looking

Following surgery, I wanted an expansive set to build with my son on a tabletop because I couldn’t spend my usual floor time with him. This set was perfect and has many great details. Excellent job, Lego.

We bought the Lego police station set for our grandson for his 5th birthday. He was so excited! He loves trucks, helicopters and of course police cars. He hadn’t stopped playing either or yet. Great gift idea.
