Best book i've read
The moment I got into the book I couldn’t stop. This book is a bing worthy book. It has a little bit of everything. Some love, some friendship, betrayal and more! I would 100% recommend.

Good for teens
This isn't a bad book by any means, I think the age range is just a bit off though. The description [on Target's site so it's not the author's fault] says the books is for ages 12-19, which is generous. I'd say it's more for 11-16. This doesn't mean people of other ages can't enjoy it--I'm sure many people older than 16, older than 19 even have enjoyed it--the presence of "19" just made me think it would be more complexly written than it is. The language and structure is very simple, which I assume was intentional since, but does not strike me as having been written with people 18+ in mind. It's almost middle grade instead of YA. It took me a while to adjust to it, so I suppose the book requires patience in that regard. (Unless you go in knowing/expecting middle grade or really young YA.)

Couldn’t Put it Down
This was one of the best books I've read in years. It sucked me in, and I didn't stop reading until very early in the morning. I've heard a lot of hype about this book, and it did not disappoint. I can't wait for the movie.

Next Big Thing
I'm a teacher at a school, and everyone is obsessed with this book. Seriously. From teachers to students. I read it myself, and I can see why it is getting a movie. I just saw that the book has been on the New York Times Bestsellers list for something like 30 straight weeks. I can't remember the last time the first book in a series did that. I think we're looking at the next Hunger Games or Twilight, folks.

Meh
This wasn’t terrible really, but it’s certainly not the best book I’ve read this year. It’s like Hunger Games and All of Us Villains meet a PG-13 Bargainer Series. There were some really great elements here, like the world building and the magic system, even the plot itself was solid. The thing that lost me the most is the writing style. The author makes the MC out to be self-deprecating while also somehow remaining cocky, the dialogue and certain areas of the story are a little amateurish, some parts just don’t really make sense, and a handful of smaller issues. Like I said, not the most terrible, but definitely could have been a lot better.

My New Obsession
I saw this book online, and it is the next big thing. Not only is it being made into a movie by Universal Studios and the producers behind the Twilight movies, it is one of the biggest books of the year. I had to see what all the hype was about, and let me tell you, I did not expect to stay up until 4am reading this...but that is what happened. Get one before this thing really takes off. I'm proud to say I'm one of the original readers!

Sketchy author, missing a lot
This book missed in a lot of ways, particularly in the writing style which felt like things were weakly connected. Hard to stay interested in this book, plus the author is doing some sketchy stuff to get this book promoted on TikTok. Not worth a read imo

Obsessed with this Book
I saw this book on the Kelly Clarkson Show and had to get it. I was sucked in from page one. If you like plot twists, magic, adventure, and romance, this book is for you. I can see why it is being turned into a movie (and why Kristen Bell wants be casted!). I cannot wait until book 2, I have recommended this book to everyone I know, because I want to talk about those plot twists!!

Good read
Honestly, it was hard for me to read the first 2 pages. I had to read them again to understand what was being said, could be just because I finished reading another series final book right before starting this one BUT one thing I have learned is to not quit a book after the first page or chapter, with that being said I continued to read this book and it really did not disappoint. The cover and page details are beautiful. I enjoyed every chapter, the characters and the journey this led me on. Can’t wait for the second book.

Had potential but...
The book had so much potential but the way it was written and the plot list me many times. It was a hard read as in it took me a lot to keep on reading.

Great book
I devoured this book so fast! I bought it because it was similar to other books I love and I was not disappointed. I see many people complaining about verbiage used, but if you read the entire book you understand why some things are described the way they are.

Just Dont Buy It
I’m pretty sure the other reviews are bots. Don’t waste your money. This book seemed so beautiful and intriguing but something seriously wrong happened with it. The idea is perfect but it really reads like she wrote it front cover to back cover as fast as she could and didn’t care at all about cohesiveness, clarity, or consistency. I had such high hopes but even the first two pages left me really confused. I pulled through to try and figure out if it gets better and if anything it just gets worse. I was so sad about it too because it’s such a great concept. If you like collecting books tho, the jacket and actual cover are very beautiful

Soon To Be A Movie
I heard this book was being made into a major movie franchise and got it because I like to be early to things. Did not disappoint. 5/5 stars for me.

Found this while going through the aisles, and I devoured it in one sitting. One of the best books I've read in a while. Can't wait for the next one.
