Battery life and perfection in tracking

Had Google and Fitbit watch was always getting bummed out that I had to charge 1 hr in morning to make sure I had enough juice for the whole day and night. This led to me forgetting it often in the morning. Pretty frustrating. This watch has an amazing battery life. Did a little trail blazing hike using the GPS. The battery wasn't even phased. Love it. Also good at tracking things other than just running. Has climbing, strength training AND racquet ball too. This watch tracking is one of the best. Looking forward to really opening up this watch with my active life style.

I bought the 255 as a short term replacement for a 735xt that died. The 255 has so many great features that I canceled the replacement (under warranty). RIP 735

Are you tech challenged? Want a simple way to track activity right "out of the box"? This watch is IT! I LOVE the design...the graphics are BRIGHT AND LARGE enough to read at an arms length. The function buttons respond instantly! My Venu Sq face would fog up after every run making it hard to use functions. I have been running in 94%+ humidity and have had NO FOG!! I also love the LONG LIFE BATTERY! Wow!!

Altimeter is not very accurate. Read the manual, joined the forums that I’m aware of to look for tips. A lot of owners have the same problem. I wasn’t looking for a tracker that “kinda sorta works” disappointed

I bought this watch 3 weeks ago and LOVE it! I previously used a smart watch, and it does not compare with my Forerunner! I totally recommend it to anyone who wants to better track exercise, and sleep, among other things.

My older brother gave this to me for my birthday and I love everything about it. You can receive texts , see how many miles your walking and running and it can monitor your heart rate and pulse and etc… it has reminders to tell you to move and I love that because I do exercise a lot with my family and if I feel like I’m not getting any cardio movement or what ever it will tell you “ hey get moving “ and that to me is wonderful . I know I just recently got it so I need to learn more but from what I do know is that I love it .

I bought the watch a year ago and it's been faultless. I wear it every day at work, and it stands up to a lot of abuse. Way more than I thought it would do . Fantastic training aid and the garmin app challenges make you want to go out when sometimes you can't be chewed. Price, was reasonable Would consider upgrading to the 265 when prices became cheaper.

Upgraded from a vivoactive 4. Took a little getting used to not having a touch screen but fine once you get the hang of it. I mainly train for triathlons so the 255 is a great upgrade being able to control my bike trainer and more accurate run data and better swim data. I found the heart rate monitor didn’t work very well on my left wrist but seems to work just fine on my right wrist. I also use a chest strap heart rate monitor during my workouts and that works great with the watch. Overall a great value and data.
Best upgrade ever!

I had an Apple Watch for years until I started taking my running seriously. As I was training for my first ultra marathon, I noticed my Apple Watch would have a low battery at the end of the day before my run- even after charging it every night. I upgraded to the FR 255 and couldn’t be happier. I can wear this watch for DAYS without having to charge it. Stats are super accurate and helpful and being able to map out courses and see them directly on my watch is amazing
Great watch but sleep feature is not working

I love this watch and I have always bought Garmin for its heart rate monitoring accuracy. I’m disappointed that my sleep is hardly ever correctly measured, however. Often the watch only records 19-38 minutes of sleep, usually around 4-5 in the morning. I’ve tried restarting the watch and it has not worked. Manually logging my sleep is an option but it doesn’t record my sleep stages or give me a sleep score.
Awesome features!
