Avatara Chill Out Face Mask - 0.71 fl oz: Moisturizing, Hydrating, Silicone-Free, Normal to Dry Skin

I really wish I had read the other reviews before doing this mask. My skin has been really unhappy over the past week or 2 due to me neglecting my normal routine. 2 days ago I had done the vitamin C mask from this same brand and my skin had good results. Had a bit of redness still from lingering breakouts and figured I'd try the Chill Out one. At first it felt cool and refreshing, but I noticed it was a lot more watery than the other mask I had tried so I went to see if other reviewers had mentioned this. As I'm reading reviews about bad reactions to this mask, I notice that just beyond tingling sensation that has you wonder if it's part of the mask doing its job or if it's just hurting. This quickly went to a burning feeling and immediately removed it. I had it on for maybe 5 mins total (possibly less) and noticed some areas that were clearly irritated. Flushed my face with water (hoping this was the right move, as sometimes this can make reactions worse). It has been maybe another 10 mins and my face is still hurting and noticing areas that look a little raised/swollen. if you have sensitive skin would definitely recommend taking some of the product itself and testing a small area of skin before using the mask itself. I had rubbed the residual product into my hands and haven't noticed a similar reaction, so testing a part of the face may be necessary. Unfortunately I just assumed that a product with a name implying that it would calm/de-stress skin wouldn't be an issue. Again, the Vitamin C mask (You C This?) was totally different in a good way and would recommend that mask as one for maybe more sensitive skin.

My go to weekly skin mask. I have extremely sensitive skin and I have eczema as well with combination skin type. This mask makes my face extremely hydrated without any irritations.

Love this mask will definitely buy it again.

Never in my life have I ever had such a horrible reaction to a skin care product! Yes, I clearly have some problem prone skin here, but this mask caused pimples that were not even close to being ready to pop for a few hours, to pop in a matter of 10 minutes! They actually popped because they were so tender and I barely grazed them while rinsing the serum off. Guess that's my fault for buying a $3.00 mask..

I love this face mask. It has exactly the type of ingredients I was looking for. I had a dry, inflammation- flaky and itchy problem and this mask, when I used it weekly gave me relief from itch, pain, and had a cooling effect. Now that the issue is gone, I would still recommend this mask. It's great for the cooling effect, and offers a lot of moisture.

This is a miracle mask! I tried a new cleanser that reacted horribly with my skin and left my skin dry, burned and very painful. 20 mins with this mask on the next day and my skin felt and looked so much better!

I purchased this after watching a dermatologist review of sheet masks from drug stores they recommend. When I bought this my face was red and sensitive from a breakout after recently trying out a new vitamin C serum. I applied to my face after washing in the evening and used the residual liquid from the package to apply to my hands and neck. I woke up the next morning and my face felt drastically different & more hydrated. When I went to the mirror the redness was drastically different and nearly back to my normal complexion. Very satisfied and will be keeping these as a regular part of my skin care routine and ensuring I have them on hand!

Not to heavy. Woke up with an amazing glow and no residue. Blended into my skin with a roller and Gua sha to help lock in the full moisture.

Used to be my go to face mask. Quality is dropping and now it's not worth the price anymore. There was barely any product, so the mask dries out very quickly. The eye holes are too small so it does not conform to your face well, and the proportions are off - I needed a little TLC on my chin area and it does not have adequate coverage there. I think I need to switch face mask brands because this isn't working for me anymore, it's no longer worth the price.

Very good makes clear skin and takes acne away

After a long day in the sun, this mask was exactly what my skin needed. It felt instantly cooling and helped calm the redness and heat. The gel texture was super refreshing and hydrating—but it did drip a little bit. I really wish I had put it in the fridge first—next time for sure!
