So beautifully written
Sister Jeanne Clark protested the Trident nuclear submarine in Bangor, Washington, in the 1980s. She even knelt in front of a train transporting nuclear weapons, in order to stop it. She also protested at the Pentagon, trying to stop the US proxy war in El Salvador. Although today she runs an organic farm she founded on Long Island in New York (near Amityville), she had an amazing life, and the story is told here in beautiful prose, along with many of her poems. It is such a short book, but it will warm your heart and also make you ask what more we can do to change the world we live in. Highly, highly recommended.
