A TikTok sensation! Sparks fly when a competitive figure skater and hockey team captain are forced to share a rink.

Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. It looks like everything is going according to plan when she gets a full scholarship to the University of California, Maple Hills and lands a place on their competitive figure skating team.

Nothing will stand in her way, not even the captain of the hockey team, Nate Hawkins.

Nate's focus as team captain is on keeping his team on the ice. Which is tricky when a facilities mishap means they are forced to share a rink with the figure skating team--including Anastasia, who clearly can't stand him.

But when Anastasia's skating partner faces an uncertain future, she may have to look to Nate to take her shot.

Sparks fly, but Anastasia isn't worried...because she could never like a hockey player, right?

BRO NEVER AGAIN

I was looking through the YOUNG ADULT section and see this one. I read the back and it seems nice and cute. WELL I WAS WRONG. Definitely not something for someone my age. Or any age really. It was really inappropriate and not something I would ever read again. I put this book in timeout by hiding it on the bottom of my shelf behind other books so I wouldn't have to look at it again.

Okay

This review is as intended to be towards the conditions the book has arrived and quality, unlike improper parents blaming target for not reading into the contents of books. The book itself is fine however I didn't like how the paper looked or felt may be a little picky. However there was strange yellow and orange markings every few pages or so that was unpleasant.

Cute story

Super cute story. There were some serious moments that may be somewhat triggering for people with eating disorders. Overall the story was awesome and really made you feel for these characters.

Icebreaker--NOT recommended

Very very graphic for a 14 yr old. Wouldn’t recommend. Maybe for 17 or 18. Comic book drawing cover looks amazingly deceptively benign, as well as back cover description. Embarrassed I spent the money and gave to my daughter for Christmas. She fortunately gave it back and said she was glancing through and wasn’t comfortable with the swear words and some of the stuff she (the author—I use that word loosely) wrote. My daughter didn’t want to read it. I looked it up. Wow. Kudos to you Daughter.

The author writes contemporary romance, not Babysitters Club.

You can really tell who’s on BookTok and who isn’t based on these reviews. Did I love it? No. Did I buy it knowing the author wrote ‘Contemporary romance’ books? Yes. Not sure what all of the pearl clutching comments are for, it’s Fiction, not young adult. And the author will be just fine, despite the one star reviews; she has quite a following in the contemporary romance fandom. If you bought a 432 page book for your child, and wasn’t familiar with the author or the premise, then that’s on you; not Target or the author. The kids section is in the next aisle.

Icebreaker

I LOVED this book! It keeps you hooked the entire time and really is good at depicting the good and bad in a relationship or in other words i felt it was realist. Their love for each other is so spicy along with how they handle it! Hope you love it too!

Cute and spicy romance

This is an adult book with explicit content. Don’t be fooled by the cutesy cover. Overall I really enjoyed the story as a 23 year old. It is a simple read and a spicy romance, which is just what I was looking for. As for the literal book, it is paperback and great quality for the price. I would read again.

Way too graphic to be a YA reader...

This was in the YA section at my local Target but there are multiple GRAPHIC ‘love’ scenes in it. 100% not for younger adult readers and not just a “fluffy comfort book” as the back describes. Do better, Target - take this out of the teen section.

Unexpected graphic Content

The book cover is very deceiving. This book appears to be geared toward preteen or early teens; however, there is a significant amount of extremely graphic s**ual content. (Apparently certain words are banned in reviews)

Not the best

I read Icebreaker. I did love the book but it wasn't the best. In some chapters there were some grammar mistakes and they were not often clear on who the characters were speaking to. The book did take some events and over exaggerated them but nonetheless the book was a great read. I would NOT recommend this book to young readers though. This book is definitely YA.

BEST BOOK EVER

Took this on vacay and could not put it down even when it was not a convenient time to read. Now my favorite book and I’ve just started reading wildfire. The only thing is that it makes you feel single.🥰

Target books

I am so excited to read this book, I have heard great things! When I picked up my book though the front cover was bent and creased.
