A: Yes - the basket flakes. I have never put food directly on any part of the air fryer, but rather use aluminum foil and I have never put it in the dishwasher. It is very dangerous and unhealthy!

A: Everyone talks about flaking. maybe it's the same type of flaking on a Weber.It's NOT the finish but baked on grease from food that peels off the basket. That's in my Weber book explaining it.

A: Yes it will. And it does. I've owned several Gourmia air fryers and the basket flakes and the grill plate. Customer service is helpful, but the problem persists. No matter how gentle you clean or avoid using oils or sprays, it keeps happening.

The GOURMIA airfryer 6guart works ok but the rubber bumpers that hold the fry plate in place come off frequently and are not covered under their warranty. They did not even offer to replace them when I contacted customer service. One ripped off and others don’t stay on. Will buy a different brand since this lasted less than 1 year.

Didn't work proper out of box
Purchased this air fryer, took it out of the box, pluged it in. Turned it on and the lights for the preset would not come on. Then the fryer would on turn off, had to unplug. Returned it to the store, Target exchanged it for another one. Will try and see how it works.
