Q: How large is the actual opening? I am thinking to use this for cat litter disposal, and wonder what size scoop would be able to push open the flap to dump clumps into bag.

  • A: The opening is about 6.9". Please note that there is a hub, designed to block odors once you open the lid. As an alternative we do have a cat litter disposal system that was created specifically for cats.     Diaper Genie!

    We watch a little one a few days a week and this device is going to save us from placing dirty diapers in our trash can! We also bought a second one for our youngest son and his fiancé who are expecting a little one in Aug! Been using Diaper Genies for almost 30 years! Love this product!
