I just got it today because the Alexa plus it's coming
I just got it today. The main reason why I did was because I had the original Echo Dot for years. I know I want to get something updated eventually so I did because of the new Alexa plus and I know that the echo show 8 is the first one that’s gonna get the new Alexa plus so that’s why I bought it. Also, that’s the other main reason.

Before trying a full device reset, try restarting your device first. Just unplug the power adapter from the device or the outlet and then plug it back in. If the restart doesn't solve your issue, try the following reset procedure. You can reset your device to factory defaults using the device's buttons. Reset with buttons on your Echo Show 8: Press and hold the Mute and Volume Down buttons until you see the Amazon logo (about 15 seconds). When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device. I hope these steps work for you but if they don't, reach out to Amazon customer service to help further troubleshoot with you. Repackaged and sold as new!!!
I placed a order online at target.com for a Amazon Echo 8 (3rd Gen) and was notified that it was ready for pickup. Upon picking up my order at the Customer Service Desk I noticed that the box seal was rubbed off a little. I inquired with the customer service attendant that it looked like it had been used, however she stated that the seal was probably damaged when it was pulled. When I got home to setup my echo from another store, I noticed that the echo had a screen protector on it, however upon opening the one I purchased from Target it did not have the same packaging. I finished my setup and the echo worked perfect with no problems.

Bulky and troublesome but with potential
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this echo show but it’s been more stressful than helpful. It has its pros and cons, but what doesn’t work for me might work for others. It’s beautiful and sleek and the screen quality is amazing but a bit large for me. I get the bigger screen is way better visually to watch videos and the huge speaker produces great sound, but it takes up too much of my counter space. The angled up position of the screen is perfect when you’re directly in front of it (camera zooms in and out when detecting people), but if I want a lower view (say of my dogs) on a drop in call to the house, all I get is a far away view of the ceiling. App wise, we mainly use it for music and have had not problem with Sirius XM, but to play Apple Music you have to have good luck at that moment or will have to stream it via BT from your phone and then will not be able to use your phone entirely. I had no problem checking messages and whatsapp but when I opened Instagram the audio on the echo stopped, started playing music from a previous music app, from there it went crazy going back to playing the Apple Music selection even if I had already closed it on my phone. WIFI connection has been spot on. My family likes being in the backyard and our previous “ok (search engine)” brand would constantly lose connection. This echo has not failed once in that dept. We will continue using it, training it and ourselves because our previous other brand has been acting up.

The video quality and ability to watch my pets while not home is a huge bonus. The sound quality is great. I can hear it across my house while cleaning.

Does what it says on the box!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great piece of technology that does everything it’s supposed to do. I keep it in the kitchen to read my recipes, listen to music or audiobooks, or watch videos. The speaker makes up most of the back body. While it is loud enough to enjoy over a set of sizzling pots and pans, it isn’t a rich sound. Which is fine for my purposes. When I leave for town, I move the device to the living room in order to monitor my cats. The camera is wide enough to capture the whole room and the picture is clear enough to see it all. Also appreciative that there’s a physical means to close off the camera so my personal FBI agent can’t spy on me.
