These grilling briquettes are Kingsfords fastest lighting charcoal and are ready in about 10 minutes. Each charcoal briquette contains just the right amount of lighter fluid and features Sure Fire Grooves which have more edges for fast lighting. Perfect for grilling with large groups, these charcoal briquettes are an easy way to make a meal an event. Choose Kingsford Match Light Charcoal for your next cookout. Because taste is everything. This bag of 12 pounds equals about 3 uses. Scan the QR code on the pack to unlock grilling tips, techniques and more. *When used as directed. USAGE DIRECTIONS: Stack Briquettes in a pyramid. Do not overfill your grill. Use about 4 lb. Light immediately.

Spread briquettes in a single layer when covered in ash (in about 10 minutes). Begin grilling. Always create a tight seal to close bag after each use. Store in a cool, dry place. CAUTION STATEMENTS: FOR YOUR SAFETY: Never cover flaming briquettes with a grill lid. Covering flaming briquettes may result in a flare-up when lid is removed. Use water to control excessive flames. Do not light any part of the bag. Barbecue away from flammable items, overhangs and trees. Do not add Match Light charcoal once fire has been lit. Add Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquettes if extra charcoal is needed. Make sure ashes are cold before discarding. Do not use in water smoker grills.

Horrible taste smell fumes in the entire house
My entire house smells like lighter fluid from the fumes set off by this charcoal. Our entire dinner tastes like lighter fluid. Our body’s smell like it even after a shower. We had charcoals burning for 15 minutes before cooking also. I’d rate a 0/5 if I could. This was an absolutely horrible experience.

Match Light Charcoal would not light
First, I'm a Kingsford Charcoal guy. I love their product. Unfortunately, I bought a double bag of Match Light and thought I upgraded to save time in getting the grill going; however, the charcoal just would not light. Had to resort to using a charcoal starter. Took way longer than it should. I wish I would have read the comments on here. Seems to be hit or miss if you get a good bag. Not really worth the risk for the money spent.

It makes your food taste like lighter fluid smells. And it still needs lighter fluid to get it going and takes an incredibly long time for the coals to get hot. Just get the basic white bag kind, they work better.

None garbage
Do not but this charcoal it did have lighter fluid in it i had to use car gasoline to get it to light and after lit before I started cooking all ready burned out meat was still raw with blood did not finish cooking my food iam never buying again matchlight charcoal as long as I live match charcoal is match light garbage iam sticking to meatless burger restaurants the rest of my life iam taking my charcoal girll to trash dump and throw it away And eat plant based foods off frying pan fried in sun flower oil and olive oil and eat vegetables and fruits and fat free milk the rest of my life and eat healthy the rest of life this match light charcoal is trash light charcoal I don't recommend this charcoal to nobody inless you want raw food

By far their best charcoal. The lighter fluid is built right into the charcoals. No need for lighter fluid! It burns very hot and stays that way for the duration. I won't use any other charcoals except these.

Great briquettes
I have always had a great experience with these Kingsford Match Light briquettes. They light easily, last a long time and do a great job on my cookouts. I will say that you should let them burn a while before placing meat on the grill as they are impregnated with lighter fluid and if you don’t burn that off first your meat with absorb that taste.

Great flame control. Easy to pour packaging. Easy cleanup just dump the dust. Not bad oder like if using lighter fluid. Store in dry space and away from flammable items for safety.

Anyone can do it

I've tried just about all the brands of charcoal and still has a charcoal lighter taste of course it was user fault but I grabbed a bad of matchlite and it didn't have that taste I will gladly buy again
