The lever to push the bread into the toaster is flimsy and the bread always ends up toasted more on one side than the other, which bugs me. Overall, it's okay at best.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before the advent of the toaster oven, I remember and grew up using a very simple toaster. It's main purpose was to toast bread quickly and effectively. However, even with all the advancements in kitchen appliances and gadgets, somehow I find a need to return to the simplicity of things, like the beloved toaster. When I received my Oster toaster, I was immediately drawn to its smooth and curved design that incorporated the look of wood to create an interesting touch. The light color of my new Oster toaster effortlessly fit into the light color scheme of my kitchen. I was surprised that this Oster toaster was definitely an upgrade from my childhood version. Instead of just one lever and function, this toaster has 4 different buttons. I used the defrost button for heating up a strudel from the freezer. Though it took a couple of cycles of experimenting with the browning levels, I was able to enjoy my frozen strudel from freezer to plate rather quickly without burning the delicate pastry outer layer, (a definite must). I am a huge fan of bagels, so the specific " bagel function" is one which I am looking forward to trying. Another feature which I have yet to try is the "reheat" function. I found the "cancel" button was useful to stop my strudel from getting burnt the second time around. As for the clean up, the small and cleverly concealed crumb tray which slides out from underneath barely had anything in it but served its purpose just as well. Overall, I was delighted with the Oster toaster (2 slice model) and will be busy discovering how to utilize the different features to enhance my kitchen creations. I really appreciate the time saving and efficiency of this little toasting powerhouse. It is a great and useful addition to my kitchen, indeed.

The temperature control is fantastic, it has a dial with 7 different shade settings, so I can get my toast exactly how I like it. My toast pops up high enough to easily grab, I can also pull up the retriever on the rare occasion my toast doesn't pop up high enough. The toaster slots are wide enough for my English muffins and bagels. It has convenient different settings such as reheat, bagel, frozen and a cancel button. The toaster is lightweight, doesn't take up a lot of space and is so cute on my countertop! The crumb tray slides out smoothly from the bottom, making cleanup a breeze. Honestly it's the perfect toaster, I definitely recommend it!

I feel like with this one, you have to gently push it down but also be a little firm on the push. It toasts everything perfectly and is lightweight so easy to move in and out of the pantry.
