Q: How do I prepare the pad for washing? Do I only need to disconnect the power cord from the belt, and simply toss the wires pad into the washing machine?

A: Hi LS, Thank you for your question! You need to disconnect the power cord from the pad and then, you can follow the steps below. 1. Fill washer with warm water. 2. Add minimum amount of all-purpose detergent, agitate to dissolve, measure heating pad before washing. 3. Add heating pad and soak for five minutes. 4. Agitate two minutes. Spin. 5. Fill for cool rinse, agitate one minute then spin. 6. Dry in automatic dryer on high heat for five minutes only, or line dry. 7. Remove damp heating pad from dryer, block to original size, and drape to finish drying. 8. Do not iron your heating pad. To get a safe and effective benefit, and to prevent damage to the coils, it is advised to place the heating pad on top of the treatment area. The original heating pad that I bought got uncomfortably hot for the first couple minutes and then died down to nothing. I contacted the manufacturer in the instruction manual. They sent me a new pad and a return label for the original so they could test it since it was a safety issue. The customer service was awesome and the new pad works great! I'm glad I got to keep it! I have lumbar and gallbladder issues, so the shape and size of this pad are perfect for me.

Almost started a fire
I bought this item 6 months ago and where the controls are it got extreemly hot and you could smell an elecrtical overheating on the control pad this is the 2nd one this has happend to.

Be aware
I literally JUST got this and was so happy because my back pain has been intense the last few days. Went to put it around my waist and the Velcro doesn’t Velcro. It stays for .5 seconds and then releases. I can’t return it, I can’t leave the house because of said back pain. So I guess I’ll have to keep it and use it anyway. I just want relief from my pain. 😔

Great heating pad, I love it
I love this heating pad. It is soooo much better than the drugstore variety where the plastic part comes out of the cloth material. This is all one piece, and it’s great for the back as you can fasten the Velcro tabs together so it’s on your back (or abdomen). It’s a little heavier for travel but much more comfortable than any other heating pad I’ve had.

A perfect heating pad for the abdomen area.
I have used this heating pad for over two years now. It works for my needs. I can or hope to control spasm with it. It works so well, when my original one died, I ordered a replacement before I even looked at the warranty. When it came, I realized that it had a 5 year warranty. I filed for the replacement of the one that died and with a few days, I was approved and was sent the replacement. Now I have my new one and a replacement for the one that died. I can highly recommend this one to anyone who is in need of a heating pad for those areas that hard to put other heating pads.

Controller broke after minimal use.
While the heating pad's controller worked, this was a good lumbar/abdominal heating pad. HOWEVER, the cord stopped functioning about 3 months after purchase. I am looking for replacement cord and cannot find.

A true lifesaver
I bought this heating pad about two months into a long recovery. Heat is a primary way I can manage my back and hip pain. Not being a big person, this size pad fits well in the small of my back and on my hips; the heat options are well described on the owners manual, and a rarely go past medium. I’m very happy with this product and would buy it again, and may need to for a loved one who will be having back surgery this winter.

Where are charging instructions???
Even though this lumbar heating device is not working the way I had hoped for relief of my back, I wanted to use it in another place on my body. I haven’t used it since I bought it and I can’t find the instructions on how to charge it. I plugged it in and the red light is flashing but I don’t know how long to charge it. Why aren’t there instructions on the box? I usually save instructions and I remember reading them but I can’t find them. Usually on the Internet, I can find instructions For an item I purchased. I can’t I need help. Why aren’t there instructions when you query the product?

Lumbar Pad
My last one only lasted about 6 months before it did not heat any more. The previous one lasted about one year. I just saw the guarantee is for 5 years. I love the lumbar Pad because it helps but regret it breaks down so fast.

Long lasting pain relief without holding you back
The lumbar heating pad has been a lifesaver for my chronic lower back pain since falling and breaking a vertebrae in early March. I love the option of being able to use the provided hot/cold pack as opposed to being plugged in at all times. This allows me to move about my daily tasks, do work around the house, take a walk all the while still receiving the warm targeted heat where I need it. I spoke so highly of it my mother-in-law purchased one for her lower back pain, as did my father and they both love theirs as much as I do.
