Q: Can you put the plastic lid on the pyrex dish straight out of the oven? or is it best to cover dish with tinfoil to put in carrier while hot?

A: Hi Kelly. Great question! We advise waiting a minute or two for the initial steam/heat to subside, so you don't end up with a warped cover. Please always remember to use pot holders when handling a hot dish.

This is great! Love how it comes with a pack to keep the food warm or cool, and easy to carry. Only negative is the lid is not a tight seal, so liquid type dishes will spill out into the carrier if tilted too much.

the Pyrex glass piece itself is great, the carry case however stained the back leather seat of my car after the first time using it. I soaked the carrying case in Dawn dish soap after that and the water was definitely gray by the time I took it out and air dried it. I’ve been trying to use different products to get the stain out of my car seat, but it isn’t coming out. Would NOT get this carrying case and if you do, set it on the floor only.

Used pickup service, it was ready in less than an hour! The lid really does stay on tight, no spills. Only had a 1 mile drive so I haven't used heat pack yet. VERY easy to put together and go. Love it! Cooked yams, which can be hard to clean. I put lemon juice and water in it, microwaved for a minute, all "stuck on" yams wiped off easily. BEST way to clean stuck on food!

Four-piece set has lid that fits glass container that sits inside insulated carrier with a heat/cold pack. The glass bakeware is a standard size. The ability to keep food warm or cold is very good. Used it for an impromptu seasonal party after driving 35 minutes and the food was still warm. Takes 90-120 seconds to microwave the heat pack, insert, and go, and can be reheated once you get to your destination. I used the online order for in-store pick up service, which took less than an hour. Saved the day! Glass and plastic lid can be washed in the dishwasher. Carrier can be wiped clean with a cloth.
