  • A: To the person who asked if the Roku is on all of the time, you can buy a special power strip for your TV and its devices. Plug the TV into the main slot and your ROKU and other devices will turn on and off when you turn on the TV. Saves energy. These power strips are generally available online or at big box stores.

    The Remote *EATS* Batteries

    The actual streaming stick itself is great. A lot of apps are broadcasting in 4K, especially YouTube videos. This stick is easy to install, just plug in to an existing HDMI port on your TV and connect the stick's USB power port to your TV's USB port (if it has one, mine does) with the supplied USB cable and there you go. However, this is why I gave this stick only 2 stars. The remote *LOVES* batteries!!! I bought this back in May 2025 and so far I've had to replace the batteries in the remove FOUR TIMES!! It's on the fourth set right now. And I don't even use the voice feature to open any apps. In fact I have that disabled. And it *STILL* eats batteries. I have three Roku Express devices (Master Bedroom, Office and Hobby Room) and those remotes don't even come close to eating batteries like this remote does. Heck I don't even remember the last time I changed those batteries. Unless Roku does something to improve the battery life in the Streaming Stick 4K's remove, I really cannot in good conscious recommend this to anyone.

    The roku box is better

    It works great except for the remote to receiver is not very responsive. I even moved my stick down so the receiver on the cable hangs below the tv for a more direct signal and I still have to push the buttons on my remote twice to get it to function. I’ve never had this happen with the other Roku boxes I own. I prefer the boxes to the stick. I will by the boxes only in the future unless they can get this remote glitch worked out better.

    easy to use, logical format

    Three TVs in our home have Firesticks, but I kept the Roku on mine because I prefer the simple, straightforward way the stations are laid out. I can find what I want quickly and easily.

    Roku 4K UHD Streaming Stick

    Just insall the stick and it's fantastic. I never knew my TV could look so good. I had a 4K streaming stick but this upgrade kicks it right out the box. If you have a 4K UHD TV it's worth it.     Excellent Product

    I have two ROKU streaming sticks. Once an older television can't load anymore apps, purchasing a ROKU for use with an older but reliable television is a much better option than buying a new TV. I was advised to just get a ROKU by the salesman that sells high end televisions. I am grateful!

    My Samsung TV is only 4 or 5 years old but the apps and streaming were really bad to pause and buffer and gave me so many problems. I almost bought a new TV but had a Roku on another TV and thought I would try that first and it worked great and resolved the issues I was having. Saved me a lot of money so now I don’t have to buy a new TV. Setup was quick and easy.
