Q: How well do these totes hold up to sun light. Can they be left out in the sun?
A: You can, but not recommended for a long time.
submitted bybbbb - 11 months agoA: Yes, but the contents will be warm/hot depending on outside temps. If they are in sunlight for extended periods, they will suffer sun damage just like anything else. They become brittle and prone to cracking. Ask me how I know. After losing several to sun damage I chose to cover them with a tarp that had UV protection.

Q: Are the bottoms sealed? Would they hold liquid?
A: In a pinch I temporarily used them for about two weeks as horse water tubs. No leaks.

Q: are these low voc, do they have that strong plastic odor?
A: I’ve never noticed a strong odor and have used these totes for 34 years. They are my go-to for storage.
