Saalt Reusable Menstrual Disc

Perfect for our trip. Easy to use. Helped me have peace of mind while swimming and adventuring! This was an awesome choice instead of the cup. Packaging as always is cute and well designed.

This is my first try with a disc and I have to say it was an immediate upgrade from the cups. I’ve been using a cup for about ten years but the disc I found to be way easier to insert/remove and more comfortable all around. This particular disc I like the design of too. The little spot to hook your finger is perfect. I recommend it.

I really had a good experience using the Saalt disc. The removal notch can sometimes rotate but even when that happens, it’s easy to remove. For me, it lasted at least 10 hours which gave me a lot of freedom. I highly recommend it, especially for people looking to switch to a more reusable option. It’s a great choice.

I used menstrual cups for the last 12 years and switching to the salt disc has been great. After having kids the cups I always used have been uncomfortable or fell out easily. I like how secure the saalt disc is ; it can be more difficult to get out when I’m ready to but at least I’m not worried about it falling out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using a cup for years and finally decided to try the disc. I can’t believe how easy it has made my period! With a cup, I’d always wear period panties also because there was so much risk for leaking, but the disc is so much more effective. Also it holds a heavier flow and so I really could go 8 hours without emptying the disc. The learning curve was easy, too. Very easy to insert and it stays put. I’m so glad I finally tried this. I loved the cup but now I don’t see why I’d go back. It will be nice to use the cup as a back up on a light flow day. The point is the disc is awesome. Thanks for making my life easier. The only thing I haven’t mastered is removing without getting blood all over my hands. But I just have some toilet paper ready. Being next to a sink is a must for cup or disc anyways.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The disc is great, the problem is removal. The latch design doesn’t really work because as you can imagine in a wet environment your finger will slip. Also, they do in fact suction somewhat, not fully like cups but nonetheless, which makes them even harder to remove since there’s nothing to get a solid grip on. To remove it I had to dig in and put my finger over the rim from above, which the latch actually made harder. Also, at least for me, removing over the toilet is not an option, I had to fully squat so shower it was, which then means I can only ever use it at home. Maybe it’s my build but the removing feels unnecessarily hard and the latch does not move it forward at all. I’ve tried multiple times, thought it’s a learning curve but it doesn’t really seem so

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time trying a disc. Insertion is fairly easy. Removal is super easy. I can control when it auto-dumps. I can sit cross legged & sleep in any position without leaking. Only critique is the notch. It’s unnecessary for me and makes it so I have to insert it a certain way, otherwise insertion is a little uncomfortable. Wish there was a version without the notch. In comparison to cups, this is freedom.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i am so happy i decided to give the saalt disc a try. i’ve used tampons, pads, cups, period underwear, but this disc is BY FAR my favorite. i got the small one because i’m on the petite side (i am 5’1 for reference) and it works perfectly. its super comfortable and easy to use! no leaks!

I have endometriosis and have super heavy periods, and I just thought leaking was my fate. The Saalt disc is more comfortable than anything I’ve tried (5-6 prior attempts) and doesn’t leak!! I didn’t realize the mental load that the constant managing of leaking had on me until it was gone. I don’t dread my period because I get to essentially “set it and forget it”. Hooray for this disc! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love my Saalt disc. It fits much better for me than other brands I’ve used. My only feedback is that the lip of the removal notch could be longer or something. I’m never able to actually use it to pull the disc out. I have to get my finger over the lip into the disc itself each time. So I end up having to do it in the shower everytime because it’s messy. I LOVE, but wish removal was easier.

The only thing I need to figure out is how to remove it without having to squat in the shower haha but overall it has been amazing so far!

Its messier to empty that the cup, but the “auto dumping” (whoever came up with that term needs to have a word with themself) has meant I don’t have to remove and empty it as often so the messiness is not too much of an issue. I have had some minor leakage, but that may just be because I’m new to using them. Overall, and impressed with the quality of the products I bought (the disc, the cleaning pod thing - which is a life saver if out of the house, and the little pouch bag to keep everything in). I’ve not tried the pants yet because I’m on holiday and in swimwear most of the time.

I originally got the costal blue, thinking that after kids I’d need the larger size and as it matched the disposable disc size I’d been using. But when it didn’t work, the Saalt team worked with me offering suggestions and the option to receive the coral (small) disc instead for free. And it works great! So comfortable and easy, I don’t stress. This is definitely a company I’ll come back to when it’s my daughter’s turn.

The Saalt took a while to arrive but I was so happy immediately upon opening the box. Excellent quality. Great size and shape, very thoughtful design. Easy to use but I’m still getting the hang of removal without mess. Wonderfully easy to clean and reinsert and also to clean and put away. So far I’m elated with my purchase.
