We like the combination air fryer/toast/bake and the unit fits well on our counter top, however, the fan is very loud when using the air fry function, and oddly, the loud fan also operates during the toasting function. The fan also operates during convect bake but it is very quiet when using this function

Salton's Convection Oven / Air Fryer model TO2044SS will be a little louder when using the air fryer mode. This is normal. The air fryer mode uses an additional element. The louder fan is a result of the increased power from that element.
