I really like Seventh Generation Free & Clear because it’s gentle, effective, and doesn’t leave any strong scent behind. The formula cleans well even with larger loads, and I’ve never noticed any residue on clothes or towels. Clothes are clean without the worry.
I love being able to use this on my families clothes, especially my children, without worrying about dyes or artificial scents. I feel very safe using this for my family. The clothes always turn out very clean. Just pour into the washer and press start.

If you have super sensitive skin or allergies, this is a lifesaver—no rashes, finally! But if your clothes have heavy mud or spaghetti stains, forget it. You absolutely have to pre-treat everything, which is kind of a pain. Great for everyday washes, though.

Gentle on skin and clean clothes every time
Recommend this for those that have sensitive skin and like a more light or close to fragrance free detergent. My skin does not and has not broken out once using seventh generation and it feels amazing. My clothes still smell fresh and clean of odors so I know it’s working. And stains have come out well also.

Great for delicate and gentle clothing
I really like seventh generation products because they are eco-friendly and because they have a bio enzyme powder that fight stains. This liquid detergent really does get my laundry clean.. I use it according to the packaging and I never seem to have any issues with my laundry. Sometimes I have clothing that I don’t want to have any sense to it. This is especially true for specific whites and gentle, delicate clothing. So I use this product on those items and it seems to work extremely well.

Clean your life
My son is allergic to cents and I can only use free and clear for him. The effectiveness works great he does not complain about itching anymore and his clothes still get clean I like the packaging because it's very basic so I know exactly which one I'm going for every single time

7th generation is super effective when it comes to washing your clothes. Its has easy access packing and a fresh scent. Its a great value for your money and is good to use when remember the environmental impact it has. I have super sensitive skin and it never gives me rashes or reactions ever. Its one of my favorite laundry detergents

Safe and protective of skin
I really enjoyed this detergent because I realized that our family had less skin irritations since we swapped. Although it looked very similar to other detergent, the scent is not as strong, so maybe that is why it has less irritants. One best way to clean it is not to immediately let the washer start running after they fill up the tank, but to let the soap water soak into the fabric first, which will let our clothes become cleaner.

Excellent environmentally friendly laundry deterge
Okay, I’ll admit it—I used to be a “whatever’s cheapest” laundry detergent kind of person. But after one too many itchy shirts and mystery smells, I decided to give Seventh Generation a shot. And wow. It’s like my clothes went to a spa and came back emotionally healed. I grabbed the Free & Clear version because my skin is basically a diva, and this stuff delivered. No weird fragrances, no residue, just clean clothes that feel soft and fresh. I even washed my toddler’s stuffed animals with it, and they came out looking like they’d been professionally fluffed. Bonus points: I love that it’s plant-based and doesn’t make me feel like I’m dumping a chemical cocktail into the water supply. The bottle’s even made from recycled plastic, which makes me feel like a slightly better human every time I do laundry. Is it weird to say I look forward to laundry day now? Because I kinda do.

I like this detergent. I’ve used it for 6 years. I haven’t been unable to get to a target store for a pick up or in store shopping experience for a while due to being postpartum. I have ordered this detergent a few times over the past 5 years. Recently, I ordered one in each size. A few months after I received both bottles they both started leaking from a micro-crack in the bottom of the bottles. It made a huge mess in my laundry room and I’m not really able to use up that amount of detergent. I never had issues with this prior. I believe the lack of cushion in the shipping process is to blame. They were shipped separately.
