A: I find it difficult to attach the regular size trash bags (13 gallon tall). I can get them to attach in three places but not all the way around. I make do, but I wish I had known this ahead of time.

A: For correct installation: 1. Insert vertical rod into middle portion on lid. 2. Lay lid onto can in the closed position. Make sure hinges on lid and can are properly aligned. Tip: Press on lock to
ensure lid is secured to body of can. 3. Hold front of can down near silver lock and push down on
one hinge until it snaps into place. 4. Snap other hinge into place.

Bad design
Looks good but doesn’t hold a regular (store brand) bag in when you start putting food and adding weight. Also I didn’t see the dog lock, this drove me insane. My 4 yo couldn’t open it and it does lock all the time, all I did for 2 days was to come back and unlock it for him. Do not recommend if you have small kids!

New version breaks constantly
I had this trash can originally for 10+ YEARS. When it finally broke, I bought a new one and the lid was coming detached constantly. I assumed it was a fluke so within about a month bought another one, but it does the same. Lid comes off the hinges over and over. Seems the design was ruined sometime in the last decade. :(

Design flaw
Bought this to replace a prior one where the lid kept coming off. This one started doing it too after a year. Must be a design flaw. My husband us ready to hit it with a baseball bat like the printer in office space
