Q: Do the sides of this toaster get hot? I’m buying this for my 80-year-old mother to replace her cheap toaster that gets extremely hot on the sides. I want to prevent her from burning herself.

Keep it on low or it burns
Looks fancy, but anything above setting 2 burns. Set it to 3, and it looked like a 6. It toasts fine on low settings, so I'll keep it, but not thrilled.

Toasts unevenly
Love the concept and design, but it toasts super unevenly. One side is almost burnt, the other side barely toasted. My old cheap toaster did better. Returning it.
