A: Our Swiffer PowerMop can be used on finished hardwood and bamboo wooden floors. It can not be used on unfinished, oiled, or waxed wooden floors. If you're unsure still if you can use it, please contact the floors manufacturer to see how to best clean them.

A: The Swiffer WetJet has a mop head dimension of 10.5" x 4.5" and the Swiffer PowerMop has a mop head dimension of 15.4 x 5.3 inches, Linda. The WetJet Vinyl, Tile & Laminate (VTL) was discontinued, but the Original WetJet is safe for laminate floors.

Completely dissatisfied
I wouldn’t purchase this at all. It did work for first 3 months where it is in the return window and then suddenly it stopped working. One of the nozzles is broken. I did try all the troubleshooting steps and nothing worked. I wanted to give it one more try so purchased another one from target again. This time the second one luckily broke with in the three month window and could return it. I did get review from my friends too and none of them recommended this. I regret myself on switching from steam mop to this one.

The mop pads don’t stay on, making an easy job harder due to constantly trying put pressure and carefully moving the mop so that the pad stays on.

Doesn’t last!
Works well for a couple of months then completely quit. I thought it was a fluke. Power mop #2 has now quit.

We’re sorry to hear your PowerMop stopped working. Our products are designed to be durable and undergo many quality checks during our manufacturing process. Your mop should definitely last longer than a couple of months, and we have some troubleshooting tips that may help. If you cannot hear the motor running when pressing the dispenser button, you may need to replace the batteries with fresh AA alkaline batteries. Make sure the batteries are brand new, all come from the same package, and are inserted correctly. You should hear a click when closing the battery compartment. If the motor runs, but the mop isn't spraying, double-check to make sure all the pieces of the product have snapped together properly during assembly. Next, check that the solution bottle is not empty, and that it's inserted properly in the holder. Sometimes the nozzles can become clogged, so try brushing them gently with your fingertip to remove any buildup. If you need further assistance, our Swiffer Team is standing by ready to help. Please give us a call at 1-800-742-9220 from 9AM -- 6PM EST Monday -- Friday.

Miss my old swiffer
Do not waste your money. I should have kept my old swiffer. I have had problems since day 1. The solution bottle will not click in so I have to push it down while mopping to get any liquid to spray out. The pads l, which are supposed to be what makes it a power mop are terrible, all they do is push dirt around and make a bigger mess.

I would never waste money on this product! I bought a wet jet for convenience, well that was a joke. It started to not work shortly after purchase. I went online to see if others had the same problem, of course they did! It's a horrible product, Do Not purchase a wet jet. At 80 years old I don't have extra money to waste!

Replacement bottle will not lock in
I have had three swiffer wet jet two of them were fantastic but my new one doesn't work as the bottle of solution fit in but the regular size bottle of solution doesn't fit it will not lock in and there is no cardboard

We're so sorry to learn that the bottle of Cleaning Solution isn't staying in place as it should. Be sure to check that the arrow printed on the Solution Bottle is against the pole. If your bottle is the 500 mL size, and it's correctly inserted but still not working, try rotating the bottle and inserting it with the arrow away from the pole. Swiffer power mop
Swiffer power mop pads will not stick after a couple of uses. Pads sliding all over the place. For the price I’m very disappointed.

Poor quality control swiffer spray mop
I have use swifter spray mop for years, unfortunately the quality of the mop is poor quality. The first generation spray mops. , the handles would break and recently I bought the new power mop, it does not spray. Very unhappy customer with your spray mops

Hold the button on the handle for several seconds until spray comes out of the nozzle; you may need to squeeze the solution bottle gently while pressing the spraying button. We also recommend to try fresh batteries as well as making sure the battery door is closed all the way until it clicks. The cleaning pad barely cleans and the scent is so strong that I am nauseous and constantly coughing. I’m going to have to mop with just water to take that scent out.

Above all else, the safety and satisfaction of our users are our top priority. We're very sorry to hear about your experience. A great deal of research goes into our products, and we've found that most consumers prefer some level of scent when cleaning their homes. However, it should never be so strong the it makes our users nauseous and cough. Because you had this experience, please discontinue using them. In the future, if you aren't doing so already, we suggest sweeping or vacuuming the floor before using your PowerMop. Clean the least dirty area first, saving the dirtiest floor for last. To clean tough spots, scuff marks, and stains, spray the cleaning solution onto the stain and leave it to soak for a few minutes, then scrub the area with the cleaning pad. This may improve your future uses, but because you had this experience, and because we take these kinds of experieinces seriously, we ask that you please call us at (800) 742-9220. Not what I'm use to
I've always used wet jet for my floors. I'm not sure what happened with this solution but left a nasty residue. Super unhappy!!!
