Q: it states it doesn't require batteries, how it is powered?

submitted by Ev - 7 years ago

  • A: It is trigger-based. You can easily squeeze the trigger on the handle and control the spray action. Kind of like a spray bottle with a mop attached to it!

submitted byMinneapolis Hipster Mom - 7 years ago

  • A: Hello Ev, thanks for reaching out about the Promist MAX Spray Mop! The spray is hand powered by the gray trigger at the top of the handle. As you pull the handle, a plunger pushes air through the water bottle which, in turn, pushes the water out of the sprayer. One less thing to buy! Thanks again for reaching out and happy cleaning!

Q: Are the pads treated with any chemicals or made with chemicals and what is the composit of the pad? I do not use chemical to clean where my cat walks so the pads being safe and not emitting any residue toxins when water is added for cleaning the floors.

submitted by JaniceW - 2 months ago

  • A: Hi JaniceW, The mop pad is made of 100% polyester microfiber. We do not intentionally add any chemical treatments to the pad material. When used with water alone, the pad cleans through the mechanical action of the microfiber fibers rather than by releasing cleaning chemicals. If you have any more questions, we are here to help!

Q: Since the dilution ratio is different for each cleaning product, will the mops spray parts get damaged if I use more than the recommended 2tsp?

submitted by The Momvivalist - 5 years ago

  • A: In response to your inquiry, the microfiber mop head on the ProMist MAX can be used with your favorite cleaning solution . Just fill the bottle with water and add 2 teaspoons of your solution witch normally fill align with instructions of most cleaner when converting to the quantity of the bottle. We do not recommend using bleach or wax with you ProMist MAX. Hope this helps!

Just sliding dirt and cleanser around the floor

This mop is a waste of money. The mop pad is huge which is great, but there’s no way to put pressure down on the mop pad to actually clean-clean your floors… it’s basically just sliding dirt around. I’d rather buy and electric mop or wash my floors by hand to make sure they’re actually clean.

Waste of money. Do not buy

Total junk. It’s like lightly pushing a tissue across wet floors. Super ineffective design. And the sprayer doesn’t point down to the floor unless the wand is fully upright, so you end up getting spray on your walls. Do not buy.

Simple. Works. Cheap. I like that i can use my own cleaner and that the mop part stays on well. Doesn't use too much liquid on my LVP floors. I like that it is machine wash so I don't have to keep buying more disposable pads for it

Makes Quick Floor Cleaning So Much Easier

This spray mop is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and perfect for cleaning up everyday messes without dragging out a bucket. The spray control lets you use exactly as much solution as needed, and the wide microfiber pad covers a good amount of floor with each pass. I also like that the pad is reusable and washable. It works especially well on laminate and wood flooring and leaves the floor clean without becoming overly wet.

I like the fact you don't have to keep buying replacement pads and cleaning liquid. It was a little streaky at first, changed to a different cleaning solution and washed the mop pad, and worked much better.
