A: Swiffer products have been extensively evaluated for safety. In fact, Swiffer products have been safely used in millions of homes, many with pets, for more than 20 years. Do not use directly on your pet or in a confined, unventilated space where pets are kept. Also, be sure to allow any surfaces that your pet may come into contact with to dry before your pet returns to the area.

A: While Swiffer products are generally considered safe for use in households with healthy pets when used according to label directions, the fragrances and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the "fresh scent" can irritate the respiratory systems of cats with asthma. Key Considerations for Cats with Asthma Respiratory Irritation: Cats are highly sensitive to airborne chemicals and strong scents, which can trigger or worsen asthma symptoms like coughing, sneezing, and respiratory distress. Scented vs. Unscented: The scent itself poses a risk. It is best to use unscented cleaning products or natural alternatives like a diluted vinegar and water solution to minimize airborne irritants. Proper Ventilation: If you must use a scented product, ensure the area is extremely well-ventilated during and after use. Keep your cat in a separate room until the air has completely cleared and all surfaces are dry.

A: Thank you so much for your question! The Swiffer Wet Jet solution bottles are designed not to be opened or refilled. Using the bottle with other liquids after it has been finished with Swiffer liquid can lead to leakage and potential rust or corrosion. It is best to use a new refill bottle that is sold separately for optimal performance and safety.
