Ingredients:

a sterile, isotonic, buffered solution that contains boric acid, sodium borate, potassium chloride, and sodium chloride; preserved with polyaminopropyl biguanide (0.00003%) and edetate disodium (0.025%).

  • A: Hi Summer. Saline solution should never be used for lens disinfection. Saline solution is used for rinsing soft (hydrophilic) and gas permeable contact lenses after cleaning and before lens insertion with chemical (not heat) and hydrogen peroxide systems.

needs clearer information of intended use

does not disclose in a clear enough manner on the outside of the packaging that it is only meant for rinsing lenses and not storing them. very frustrating to realize just before going to bed requiring me to leave the house and go purchase an alternate lens solution actually meant for storage.

This is the Up & Up brand of Saline and it works great. It does not burn when going in the eye. It works super to rinse off contacts. It is effective and I have zero issues with using Up & Up brand OTC products. It saves money over buying the "bigger brand name," and is equally effective. My contacts now feel more comfortable

This saline has been a game changer for me with the struggle I've had with contact lens discomfort. My contacts now feel comfortable from the moment I put them on. I use this to rinse off my contacts after overnight disinfection in a multipurpose solution (MPS). I was using the MPS to rinse off particulates that loosened during disinfection, but my eyes would sting and water like crazy for half the morning after inserting my contacts. When I skip rinsing altogether, my eyes stay irritated all day. This saline is a necessity for me.
