  • A: Yes it does but I couldn't get it to work with 2 sound bars I purchased, Samsung and Phillips. Watched many videos and read many articles and they still didn't work. They worked fine on a Toshiba TV so I know the soundbar wasn't the issue. CEC wouldn't find soundbars when searching. Used at least 5 different HDMI cables also. Still no go!!!

  • A: Model VFD32M-08 does not have the Xfinity app. This TV uses our SmartCast Platform which offers a host of built in apps, as well as support for Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, and voice support for SIRI, Google Home, and Alexa. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device.

    I bought this Vizio 40-inch TV(VFD40M-08) a few days ago and I'm sorry I did. At the time of purchase, I didn't know the Vizio soundbar would not fit between the feet of this model size. The built in sound is so terrible I'm afraid I won't be able to get used to it. Also, in the guide or user manual there is no view of the back of the TV showing a detailed view of the connection plugs to see what outputs are available for another company's soundbar. (The TV has already been placed in a restricted area, enclosed cabinet and is inconvenient to move.) Additionally, the TV will be used thru a cable box feed and the input from the box cannot be set to the home position when the TV is turned on. I will have to use the Vizio remote to set the proper input to cable every time I turn on the set. This means I will need to have both remotes available every day because all the cable functions can only be controlled from its own remote. If I had known these three complications I would not have bought this TV.

    Good: Picture is good. Bad: Incredibly hard, frustrating, and cumbersome to set up. NOT intuitive at all. We have spent many hours trying to get our channels to sync to no avail. We have had to construct our own list of channels because the numbers that are shown on the screen to not coincide with the broadcasted channel (ex: Food Network shows channel 64.2 on the screen but it comes in on 90.1). You also have to download the app to your phone just to proceed with set up; it eats up storage on my phone and I don't want the app on my phone but if you delete the app it also deletes every set up you have already performed. We have a saying at our house "this is the dumbest smart TV I have ever seen." Definitely would not buy another one. (My husband has threatened to throw this one away and buy another brand.)

    I purchased this TV within the last 6 months and am not please. It constantly buffers and stalls. I most times I have to just turn it off and start all over. Also, at times when I adjust the volume it will stall and buffer. It seems to be worse when I’m trying to watch anything accept the Vizio programs. I’ve made sure all the connections and my Wi-Fi are working properly so that’s not the problem. I also have other brand tv’s in a couple of my other rooms and I’m having no problems with them.

    I purchased a Vizio TV about 10 or 12 years ago, and it was great. Last week it started to flicker and change weird colors, so I ordered a new Vizio VFD32M-08L. When I got it home and plugged it in and went through the set-up, it still didn't work. Found out it was my Directv box that was bad. Had Directv install a new box, and all is great. The old tv would still be running for another 10 years, but going to keep the newer one, has new features. Thanks Vizio for making a great product for a GREAT VALUE.

    I was not happy at all with the user interface. Using the Vizio Smart TV capabilities, it is impossible to download apps that are not installed on the TV already. I can't download the MLB app and watch baseball games, So for me the fact that this is a smart TV is completely useless. Not to mention the fact that I have to create an account, I have to give Vizio my phone number and email address just to be able to use the TV in any fashion. That is very shady, very dishonest, and very greedy. I am not a fan at all and I will be returning this product.
