A: Yes, you need an adapter or converter if you plan on staying abroad too long.

Q: I rinse with melaleuca sometimes to combat tooth & gum pain. Can I add a few drops to the water in this machine?

A: In case you haven't received an acceptable answer yet, the description of this item states, "Please do not use ... tea tree oil (which is Melaleuca, though a lesser quality)...in the reservoir. Use of these additives will reduce the product performance and shorten the life of the product.
submitted byDee - 8 years agoA: You need to ask the manufacturer of Melaleuca to if it will hurt the Flosser. I add 2 tbs of mouth wash to a full tank and it works well.
submitted byanian - 8 years agoA: May be.. I am not sure. I add one table spoon of mouth wash in to the tank and it has not so far (6 months) caused any damage to the flosser. But when a dentist advised me to add some bleach, the system failed. So, it all depends on what chemicals melaleuca contains. You need to contact the manufacturer of Melaleuca and get advice.

Q: Is this water pik safe to use in the shower?!

A: Although I have owned one of these for the last 10 years, I have no personal experience with using this is the shower. However, my DH is an electrical engineer and I asked him. He says that as long as you don't open the battery compartment while the water is running in the shower, this should work fine.

A: I have not dropped mine yet, but I agree with the needle-nose piles is the best thing to use. I love my Cordless Waterpik, and use mine the shower because you don't have to spray all over, lol, it happened to me once.

Q: The water capacity is stated at 30.000 cubic-ft. Does this unit come with a separate tank at just over 3.1 feet in height, width, and depth, weighing in at 224 pounds to contain all of that water?

Not powerful enough to clean teeth, a complete waste of money. Doesn't contain enough water to clean a mouth. If you want to do your whole mouth expect to fill it 2-3 times.

It uses a USB-C charging cable. Who has a USB port in their bathroom?? I do not, nor will I get one, which means I can't charge this anywhere near where I use it, which means this is worthless.

Hello NoName -To help reduce electronic waste, our newer units no longer include an outlet plug. However, they don't need a USB-specific outlet to charge. The charging cord provided works with most standard USB wall bricks, which many of us already have from other products, and plugs into any traditional electrical outlet. It just needs to be an industry-standard USB charger with an output rating of 5V, 1A. There is also a 30-day money-back guarantee on it as well. The unit did not function at all initially and leaked once assembled. I had to pry it back apart with a screwdriver. On second try assembling it did function partially but still leaked. Horrible quality! Automatic system is prompting me to mail it in but threatening being charged again if it’s used, which, of course it is? Disappointed by product and Target customer service automations.

I've used it enough to charge it a 2nd time--the initial time was a looong charge and the 2nd took over 12 hours and then I unplugged it. The only help in knowing when it needs charging is the motor slows, and I think it's fully charged when the green light on the cord stays green without flashing. The water 'piking' seems a little less powerful than the other flosser brand I had. I'm actually still getting used to this particular flosser.

Worked ok at first. Then no matter how much I charged it, it stopped working well. Low water pressure, had to hold on button down continuously to get it to feebly spray. This is only a few months in. Not worth it. Save your money & buy another brand & model.

I'm 66 yrs old. I must say I'm a little bit on the fence with this Waterpic because the reservoir does not last with the water very long. I did get it for a good price. I guess I got what I paid for. This is not the type of Water pic that I would purchase again. I want one that the water last longer. It's a good product however I would not recommend this product if you wanting something that has a longer reservoir. It is compact for travel.
