Q: Do I have to have a window to put this Air Conditioner in (as an answer to another question leads one to believe) or can you put it on the FLOOR in a room, as the description suggests? Because it's "PORTABLE" and a "COMPACT SIZE"?

  • A: You have to have a window at least 6 inches wide so the venting hose has somewhere to push the hot air out of. But this unit doesn't go IN the window.

  • A: This is NOT a rectangular box window units that sit in your window frame. BUT it does need to connect to a window so the venting hose thing has somewhere to expel hot air.

  • A: Your answer says, "the window installation accessory set filter and AC unit" comes in the box, but the title says it's "Portable Air Conditioner Compact Size". I'm looking for a PORTABLE one, that you can put/use on the floor, NOT in a window. I assumed by the description it's like the portable oscillating heaters, that you can put on the FLOOR in any room. It's "portable" so very easy to move from room to room. But, this listing is NOT that, it's not a portable HEATER that I'm familiar with and ALREADY HAVE TWO; BUT, I'm looking for an AIR CONDITIONER that will help keep 2-room APT COOL in the summer, not just a fan, but an ACTUAL COOLING device

  • A: The air conditioner uses the patented auto drain or self-evaporative technology which exhausts condensation automatically in most environments. Please note that if the humidity is very high, the auto drain function will still exhaust the majority of the moisture. The remaining moisture will be collected in the water tank at the base of the air conditioner and continue to self-evaporate until the tank becomes full and requires manual drainage.<br><br> If continuous drainage is necessary, the included hose can be installed to the upper drain port for continuous gravity drainage. Great unit two switch from room to room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a week. It is exactly what I need for my smaller room. And it's very easy to transfer from the small room to my medium room when needed. My daughter even likes the option to turn off the LED for bedtime.

All expectations were met!!!

I bought this product exactly 2 weeks ago. I can say that this is a perfect buy if you are looking to buy a portable ac. The sound is tolerable. You can sleep well at night. It cools the room whether you use the cool or dry mode. I was surprised to know that the dry mode can cool the room and the noise level is low. I am planning to buy another one for my garage before the official summer starts. I will definitely recommend this product 100%.

Perfect portable AC unti for bedroom

This unit was easy to ventilate. It cooled my large bedroom quickly. It is a not very quiet but it sounds like white noise so it was relaxing to listen to. It has a great adjustable vent. Controls were easy to adjust temperature. I would recommend and would buy another unit for another bedroom if needed.

Misleading details

Got this since it cools up to 300 Sq ft but received it and it clearly says up to 215 Sq ft on the box. Suggest getting another brand, you can get one the same price that cools a larger area.

Fantastic Portable AC combo unit

Just received this portable AC combo unit in the mail last week, just in time for some unseasonable warm Florida weather. I only run it at night…. It’s cools my bedroom down quick and keeps the room cool all night, kicking off/on as needed.

Bought the unit in April and it didn't even last the whole summer. The unit started leaking randomly and couldn't be resolved. Do not waste your money.

Good little machine with a loud compressor

Great size for a bedroom, cools well and quickly, has a continuous fan setting and you can turn the lights off at night. The window kit is a thick plastic unlike some brands but the hose clicks in and there are tiny gaps. My main problem is that the compressor turning on and off, is a loud thump, woke me out of a deep sleep and easily wakes me out of light sleep. If I’m awake it startles me. It’s super annoying and disruptive.

Perfect!

We bought this unit for our cottage. Our adult children each have their own room, and only one visits at a time. So this unit can roll from one room to the other, wherever it’s needed. This summer has been a scorcher, and they are so happy to finally have AC. It is easy to hook up to the window, and can store in a closet when not in use. It really works well. We are extremely pleased with our purchase.

Great little portable AC with small footprint!

This unit easily cools and dries a 13x11 bedroom. You can attach a hose to the rear, located midway up the back side so that gravity works in your favor. However, I had to buy the hose to attach separately, as it did not arrive in the box. It is also relatively quiet compared to the very loud 8000 BTU system ( (ARC-08WB) that I bought last year, and which is almost useless.
