Whynter ICM-200LS 2.1 Quart Compact Automatic Compressor Ice Cream Maker

Bought this during Christmas as a gift for the family to use as we're all fans of ice cream. We're trying to enjoy ice creams that aren't loaded with junk and convenient for us to make. Biggest plus is that this ice cream maker does a decent job of making ice-cream without having to freeze the ingredients the day before since it has a built-in compressor. So if I want ice cream within the day, ice cream I shall have. Gears, I believe are metal, but the churner is plastic, which makes me concerned about the durability. Plus if the machine stops and you have to start back up, the machine isn't strong enough to push through, which requires the user to stir it lose. I've noticed that it needs a little additional freezing in a freezer to solidify. No regrets, but wish the machine was a little more powerful.

I purchased this to all so I could make ice cream for my husband, who is diabetic. It is a fantastic ice cream machine. Easy to use, efficient, and does everything. The manufacturer said it would do. I make ice cream at least once a week using this ice cream maker. Would recommend to anyone wanting to make small batch homemade delicious ice cream

Used it once so far. Relatively user friendly. Only down side is how careful the user instructions tell you to be with the bowl.

I was given this ice cream maker as a gift and it really exceeded my expectations. When I had tried making homemade ice cream in the past, it had always been a very tedious process involving freezing the bowl, monitoring the temperature, and enduring a very loud machine only to result in soft, melty ice cream. I was expecting more of the same, but this product required minimal set up, and produced rich and fluffy ice cream! I really enjoyed the recipes that came in the box. So far, my partner and I have made brown sugar pecan ice cream, and it was a perfect consistency and amount of sweetness. It was a pretty hefty amount of ice cream too, and could easily feed a whole family with some leftovers. I'm excited to try more recipes and experiment. Next we plan on making a "pumpkin pie" ice cream, with graham cracker crumble, pumpkin puree, and some spices. We also might try making some drinks, since the recipe book included options for pina coladas, strawberry daquiris, and more! The only downside to this product is its size. It's quite large and heavy, making it tough to move around the kitchen. Ideally, it could stay on the counter, but we don't plan on making ice cream every day and it takes up a lot of space. I don't think it will waste away in a cabinet though, since we enjoyed using it and I could see us using it every week or two. Ultimately its a great product that helped us make some great ice cream!

For over a year we have loved the ice cream and rum runners from this machine. Then I broke it! I contacted support; they replied promptly and solved the issue in a manner that was above and beyond expectations. Easily in my top 3 customer service experiences ever.

I bought the ice cream maker about a month ago. The manuals do not say what to so if the ice cream or sorbet turns rock hard and freezes to the sides. I am using the preset ice cream mode. Do I need to use the ice cream mode only 30 min? Hubby is excited for home made ice cream. No I can control the sugar and lactose and still enjoy a treat.

This counter top ice cream maker is easy to use, efficient, quiet, and produces consistent quality ice cream in under an hour. The machine also sports a modern, yet compact style. The texture of the ice cream comes out so fluffy and the product chills to a nice texture as well. In fact, one can take out the beaters and leave the ice cream in the machine to chill,. All of this is automatic. The best part is that I can use healthy recipes or not of my choosing. I actually make the former for me and the latter for my husband. Some good recipes come with the machine. This appliance is totally worth it.

I received my ice cream maker yesterday this morning I prepared a low carb keto recipe. I followed the instructions and made our first batch of ice cream. I was pleased at how quickly the ice cream was ready to eat. Can’t wait to make another batch. Looking for keto recipes! Terrific ice cream maker.

Very simple to use and quick as far as all natural Ice Cream. Used if for Frozen Custard and Ice Cream many times already. The Yogurt comes out perfect too.

Really happy with the machine. The Ambient store is HORRIBLE! There is never anyone there to take phone calls and they do not reply to emails. I did order from them and received merchandise, but I had a question and could not speak to anyone
