Swanson Mineral Supplements Blackstrap Molasses with Iron 29 mg 120 Caps

Still trying to see if this actually works waiting for my lab result. Have been taking for 2 months.

Impressed with the effectiveness. Had more energy and mental alertness.

I have low Red Blood Cell count... I take 1 twice a day. My lab result went from a 7 to 12 in 3 months. * Strong grass smell. I leave the lid off my jar and the smell goes away, easier for me to swallow.

I love this product! Iron can be hard on the stomach but I have no issues tolerating the Blackstrap form

This product is the best! My doctor said that I should take iron due to anemia. After researching, I decided on this natural supplement. It does not cause constipation as do many iron supplements do. My blood count improved rapidly. I am pleased with the results.

Black strap Molasses was suggested to me when I continued to fail the iron levels for platelet donation. The Red Cross had raised the iron levels and I was already having a difficult time meeting their requirements. Now with no other changes in my life I exceed the limit...

This supplement has a lot of iron in it (161% of the recommended daily). Most healthy people, especially, do not need anywhere near this much iron and this can be quite deadly. Would not recommend unless you have specific direction to take so much.

I am vegetarian [almost entirely vegan] and need iron, but most chemical varieties make me nauseous. This one does the trick.

What I notice most when taking Iron is an increased connection between breathing and muscular power that makes me feel more energized and capable of performing work (lifitng weights, taking care of the house, getting thru a rough day, etc.).

The size of this looks like 1000g, so what ... only 3% of that is iron (29mg). - Rice flour - Gelatin - Microcrystalline cellulose (plant fiber) ...these all precede the the blackstrap molasses powder in the ingredient list. My wife was having a hard enough time with swallowing the other supplements ... will be switching to something smaller to get her the 29mg she needs.

I don't like the taste of Molasses so having in caps with the same effect without the taste is great. I enjoy how fast it arrives and I have been taking for years and feeling so much better and healthier.

I bought this because I read online on different sites that this product will stop the growth of grey hair thereby replacing hair with the original color. I have seen no difference in my hair and will probably not buy this again.

It gives you the iron you need and other vitamins and minerals for a great price, great value.

Really like this product. It is an alternative for me to other supplements that cause constipation and GI problems. Take this EVERY DAY...works like a charm for me.

I've taken these for about 3 weeks now and although I have felt a slight pick up in energy, this type of iron is constipating to me. I will go back to using iron bisglycinate (Item# SLG228) which is a wonderful product.

I have a low iron count, so along with my multi-vitamin I have to take extra iron. Since this is in powder form, it dissolves better and I don't have to take as high of mg of iron as a result. The low price is nice benefit as well.

Ordinarily, I'm not a big fan of taking iron. However, if you need it and have to take iron, I believe this is the one to take. Right source of iron: Ferrous Fumarate. Mild and easy on the body to digest and utilize effectively. Right potency: 29 mg., neither too high nor too low. Nice with the supporting blackstrap molasses. Vegetarians often need to take some iron if their diet is not supplying enough. This is a nice product that, while everyone is different and there are no guarantees, in my opinion should be tolerated well by a vegetarian. If one is an absolutely strict, strict vegetarian, the capsule itself for this product is animal source, so you would want to pull the capsule apart and dump out the ingredients into a Tblsp, or so, of something you like. . . . perhaps applesauce or non-dairy yogurt, or ?? Of course, it's lots easier if one is a lacto, or lacto-ovo vegetarian, but then you already know that. You have no doubt read that, along with iron, taking folic acid and B-12 to team up with the iron is good. Swanson has the best, best, best B-12!!! Methylcobalamin 5 mg. sublingual tablet. Check it out on their website. And Swanson's price is a fraction of others. Personally, I take this winning team together. Whatever one's dietary preferences are, I believe this is a good (I think it is the best) and effective iron supplement that is easy on your gastrointestinal tract and easy on your wallet.
